Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy April Fool’s Day!
We can’t report a prank and joke-filled adventure even when we were at school today – mostly because there just wasn’t much of that going on around here again this year. The vaccine clinics continued to be the top story around town anyway, and while our time at school kept us from helping out for the entire afternoon session; we still did our part for the second-half of the afternoon and the entire evening. We ‘vaccinated’ around three-hundred people today, and that number was lower than yesterday because we didn’t get as many people as we could have handled today. That still puts us at nearly twelve-hundred people vaccinated so far in just four days; so we’re already closing in on getting nearly-everyone vaccinated. We’ll do one more round of clinics on Saturday; and then the rest of them will be done at the doctor’s offices and possibly with one clinic at the school – though we expect to have nearly-all of the students and all of the teachers vaccinated before Monday.
The back-to-school-full-time news is official; the reactions were generally as we expected; and some parents may have parties next week to celebrate! ;^)
We’re going to wrap this up on that happy note, since while we didn’t put in quite as many hours at those clinics as yesterday; all of the extra effort has caught up with us; and we need to crash and nap again tonight. That isn’t an exciting start to our holiday weekend, but we’ll still be happy with all of the good we’re doing this week; and the costs are small and worth it. This will, hopefully, be an especially-awesome weekend, though, so while we go and get some sleep; stay tuned and we’ll let you know how that works out for us over the next few updates.
