Ehlana:
Ethan has this update covered; so I’ll just
call it a night and let you move on to read his report.

Ethan:
Pizzeria pizza and other finger food side
dishes always works for kids at dinnertime, but it was the family and friends
time that we loved the most – especially when we didn’t have a big gang and
could actually talk with everyone instead of just having a lot of cameo
moments. That wasn’t quite true for
today, but I’ll get to that soon.
Dinner was a highlight of our evening last
night, but then so was the video gaming, movies, and cuddle time in the
lounge. Mom and Dad joined us for some
of that, but Dad also did some work in the office to get a head start on his
weekend homework. Naomi and I didn’t get
to have another sofa sleepover – but only because we – the kids – were on the
floor for the last movie; and we fell asleep in the double sleeping bag we’d
been happily cuddling in while the parents and teens were using the sofa. Mom and Dad left us in the lounge because we
were sleeping by then, but they took pictures on the way out; and are getting
quite a collection that will be used against us in the future – again.
Tai Chi was a bit crowded with all of us
this morning, but we had fun; there was a hot breakfast; and then Naomi and
Aiden headed for home or the bakery while Ehlana and I were put to work doing
chores until lunchtime. We were back
together with Naomi and Aiden for some play time this afternoon. It was cooler again today, but we dressed
accordingly and still went out biking the trails and hanging out at the park
playground. Our best friends needed to
be with their own families tonight, but Grandma and Grandpa came over for
dinner and another chance to spend time with Cassie, Michael, and May. I guess that’s true for seeing the rest of
us, since they’re heading out on their winter adventure on Monday; so they
wanted to talk with us too before they’ll be gone for the next few months.
That meal was great too – and home-made
fare because Mom does get us to have ‘real’ food most of the time; and that was
a great visit too. Ehlana and I helped
with the clean-up, but grandma and grandpa moved on to a visit with the
Carringtons; while Michael, Cassie, and May needed to spend some time with his
family. That included a visit to the
pizzeria; and then they were at his house once his parents and then Jake and
Stephanie were available to visit with them; and then they got home in time for
our bedtime snack and chat.
Now we’re all heading to bed
comparatively-early – mostly because Cassie, Michael, and May will have another
long day tomorrow; and then be heading for Florida early on Monday while we
head back to school. I don’t really want
to think about that parting too-much tonight – so I won’t. We’re not totally out of time yet, so I’ll
rest up now; and be ready to enjoy all of the happy moments that we can pack
into the rest of our holidays tomorrow.
May the Magi Force be with you!
