Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - January 22, 2020

Ehlana:

This has been a busy, quiet work day.  We’ve also had a snowy-rainy day that ended up being more snow for us than rain because the temperature was closer to freezing than expected for most of the day; so we didn’t get as much rain.  That didn’t affect our school day, since the snow was spread out over the day, but we did get enough of the white fluffy stuff that we needed to clear the driveway and sidewalks after school; some snow play entertainment with our friends and cousins and that work replaced our lab visit plans; and then we had a quiet work and study evening at home after a hot dinner that helped us to warm up after the outdoor work and play.

We put in extra time on the work and studies, so it’s late; I’m tired; and going to keep this short so that I can move on to nap time – starting now.

This is Ehlana Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light!

Ethan:

The girls won the snowball fight after school; shoveling snow is never going to be a favorite chore of mine; and I had fun with my ‘real’ studying tonight – including with our Magi lesson with Mom.  We put in extra time in the office tonight because the rest of our week is booked; so we won’t have time to do extra studying.  Ehlana will miss the lab time today more than I’ll miss the archives, but then I can still work in the digital archives from home; while Ehlana can’t exactly do her genetic, viral, and disease experiments in her room.

Okay, she technically could do that, but having a level-four lab in her room instead of the toys and games might be a bit tough to explain to our friends – not to mention a bit risky if they got into the freezer full of viruses! ;^)

We still have two days of work at school, but that’s play time for us anyway; so we’re ready for some play days – or will be once we get some sleep.  I’m ready to do that now; so I will.

May the Magi Force be with you!
