***RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Ethan and Ehlana:
I’m going to write this bit of news for us
while Ehlana offers her commentary.
The surprise news of the day is that we
ended up spending most of the day with Gwyneth Hathorne – and her personal
assistant, Amanda, her boyfriend, Sylvain, and Amanda’s family! We knew from mentally following Gwyneth to
her home for the week last night that they are staying at a chalet across the
lake from us, but we certainly didn’t foresee this encounter with her so soon
after our fight.
We also know that Gwyneth did not enjoy
herself today, but it has been fascinating to spend time talking with her while
she had no choice but to play nice – and while powerless to take out her hatred
on us in a Dark Magi kind of way. Amanda
and her family got along great with ours – especially our Moms. That was fun too, but since five of us were
around the same age; we were put together while the parents, collegians, and
teens were together too as we went on our tours of the Empire gold mine and the
North Star museum. We were together for
a picnic lunch and a restaurant dinner too; so we really did spend most of the
day together.
It’s only fair that we also add that at
least some of us intentionally-provoked Gwyneth, but all things considered; we
don’t think that we were too-horrid for having a few jokes that would only make
sense to those of us in the middle of that fight last night; and Naomi had fun
with all of the hand-holding, hugs, and kisses with me – especially when
Amanda, her mother, and sister thought that we were adorable. Let’s not make a big deal of it; and I’ll
only add that we don’t feel bad about our actions today.
Gwyneth’s shield was still going strong all
day, and thanks to the close proximity; we got to have an amazing opportunity
to study our handiwork and calibrate the time it will take before it’ll wear
off. For us, the most important part of
that news is that she’ll still be in her power-prison until after we’re safely
on the way home again on Saturday morning.
That’s pretty much all we have for this
strange part of our day. It still feels
a bit surreal to us, and that probably says something about us; since we didn’t
feel that way last night while fighting the bad guys! We’ll think about that along with everything
else we’ve had happen over the past day or so; as well as taking everything we’ve
learned to help us as we head into the future.
You never know when even the unexpected or
seemingly-trivial bits of information will prove important.
Thankfully, our photographic memories help
out a lot with remembering all of those little details.
***END OF RESTRICTED UPDATE***
Ethan:
We slept in a bit; Cassie and Michael made
breakfast for us this morning; and then we headed out to the Empire Mine for
our first tour and immersion into the gold mining history of the area. We met the Williams family and their guests –
including eight-year old Harvard phenom, Gwyneth Hathorne; and ended up
spending most of the day with them until after dinner. That added to the fun; we had a picnic lunch
and a restaurant dinner with them; and they also joined us for the visit to the
North Star Museum and another round of shopping and sightseeing in town before
that dinner.
We came home to the chalet after that; it’s
been a quiet evening; and now we’re going to get a good night of rest so we’ll
be ready for our white-water rafting excursion tomorrow.
That’s all I have for tonight; it’s been an
awesome day; and now we’re all really looking forward to the only extreme-fun
adventure on our schedule for the week.
Stay tuned – that is going to be awesome!
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I’ll go with Ethan’s report tonight; and
only add that Magi could have made a fortune in gold mining if we’d gone into
the business with our talents.
Okay, we could still do that now, but that
isn’t what we’re supposed to do with our lives; so we’ll just keep what we’ve
sensed from around us while on these outings; and leave all of that hidden gold
for others to find someday. ;^)
We’re tired; so Naomi and I are just going
to turn the lights out; put our toys away; and go to sleep.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
