Ethan:
News of the day – Aiden and I don’t have
baseball practices on Mondays now that we’re done for the season.
Our day started out early with seeing Dad
off on his trip to the city; Ehlana and I had a little nap with Mom after that;
and then the rest of our morning was fairly-normal – from Tai Chi by the river
through breakfast, chores, and our play time at the lab and archives. We did a picnic lunch at the park with Naomi
and Aiden; biked, swam, and played there for most of the afternoon; and then
Mom had all four of us for dinner before setting us free to play again for a
couple of hours. Ehlana and I wrapped up
that blast of fun with short visits at Aiden’s and Naomi’s houses; and then we
came home for the night. Mom did a Magi
lesson with us; she and Ehlana opted for Jacuzzi time after that; and I only
grabbed a quick shower before getting into bed for the night.
I’m going to do some bonus reading now, but
that’s all I have for this report; and I’ll leave the Cassie and Michael update
to Ehlana.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I can do that – while enjoying the long
soak in my Jacuzzi!
Let’s start with Cassie’s new class
schedule – though that was news that we got last week after she was done
getting that set up. For this semester,
Cassie has Chinese, Arabic, and Russian for her morning classes; followed by
Spanish and French after lunch – all with the same Professors she had in her
first year. Her final afternoon classes
are PolySci and English; with the first on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday while
English will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The night classes this semester are on Tuesday and Thursday with Interpretation
and Translation Technologies and History of Linguistics and Language rounding
out her busy schedule. Picking those
nights matched up best for Michael, Rowen, and Tim; though she worked that out
with some of her friends too.
Speaking of friends, Cassie already has two
new ones – no surprise there even though one of them is a guy! Cassie met Natalia Ferguson in Russian class;
Talia’s boyfriend, Mateo Scott by lunchtime; Talia and Matt are both in most of
her classes except for Chinese, Arabic, and French for Talia; and Chinese,
Arabic, and Russian for Matt. That gives
Cassie two great additions for her third-year study group; and they apparently
have really hit it off with Cassie and Michael.
I used the word ‘additions’ because Cassie’s summer school friends still
want to hang out with her too – and have adjusted their own schedules and
education plans to be able to work with Cassie for at least one more semester.
Chloe is taking Arabic every morning with
Cassie; and has both night classes with her too. That was all she could do with her full-time
work schedule, and she won’t be in any of Cassie’s classes during the spring
semester because she’ll be taking the rest of her first-semester classes then
instead and then the second-semester full-time next summer. Tonya is taking Spanish and French with
Cassie while her kids are at school anyway; Janna booked the same class time
with Cassie for Russian; and they’re both doing that to get that extra
super-tutor support. That might actually
work out well for Cassie, since if she doesn’t add in too-many new study
friends; it’ll still be fairly-easy for her to study with Michael, Rowen, Tim,
and the rest of their ‘old’ study group.
I seriously doubt that Talia and Matt will be the last new additions to
their circle of friends; and I’ll add more as we get the latest news from
Cassie.
All I have to add for today is that Cassie
and Michael stayed on campus after last classes for study sessions and a fast
food dinner at The Commons – including with Cassie’s new friends. I don’t know if that’ll be an everyday thing
for them, but if Cassie is going to study with Tonya and Chloe; that’ll need to
be worked around their schedules – and evenings may need to be part of that
plan.
I’ll keep you posted on that too, but don’t
have anything to add for tonight – other than that Michael had a good first day
with his classes; and no real news to report.
I have a nice long soak in my Jacuzzi to get back to enjoying – so I’ll
do that – and then get some sleep; since it has been a long day after that
early start with Dad.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
