Ethan:
The countdown is on to the holiday weekend,
and since Friday will be the annual clean-up and decorating day for Memorial
Day; we’re already a quarter-way through our school week!
I’m going to leave this update to Ehlana,
call it a night; and get some sleep.

Ehlana:
We did get to spend some time with Cassie
and Michael today – but not much of it until after we got home from baseball –
and we spent some of that time in the office with Mom and Dad while studying,
working, and doing a group Magi lesson.
As for the rest of our day, we had fun at school; played with our
friends after that; and then we were at the school for Ethan’s ball practice –
or some of us were there. I helped out
with some cousins play time at the school playground; and the turnout for every
practice is already dropping as normal.
Our day wasn’t very exciting compared to
Cassie’s – which was part of the reason for why we didn’t get to spend a lot of
time with her. She spent time with
Michael and his parents this morning – including with some help for chores
there; she and Michael helped out at the pizzeria at lunchtime and then again
during the dinner rush; and they helped out with the move-in going on this week
for Jen and Garrett’s new house that was, in part, a wedding gift – at least
for the down payment. Their new home
will be ready to at least live in by the time they get here; and it’s also
brand new and in the new section of town.
Ethan and I won’t be involved in that at all, but it is exciting for
Cassie and Michael to help their friends – and might prove to be an awesome precedent
too! ;^)
Okay, moving along, Ethan and Aiden had fun
with their ball practice; we’ve had a good evening around here; and Cassie is
now borrowing my Jacuzzi after saying goodnight to Michael. He’s home for tonight again, though they don’t
need to make a big deal out of their sleepovers – especially if that’s mostly
because of Ethan and me. In this case,
though, Michael’s getting to have a bit of extra time with his parents while
they’re on their days off from the Inn; so the lack of cuddle time with Cassie is
just a sacrifice he’s making to do that instead. Cassie’s doing the same – except she isn’t
there so that he can spend time with Miranda and Jacob without anyone else
around – and maybe with Rebecca a bit later too once she’s done at the pizzeria
for the night.
And that’s my report for tonight. Stay tuned; we have more family and friends
fun to come this week – along with school, work, and baseball. My lab time is suffering a bit, but if I have
to trade that for more time with Cassie; I’ll do that too for the next couple
of weeks. I’m going to put my toys away
now; relax; and then maybe have a bonus bedtime chat with Cassie once she’s
done in the tub. I may even borrow Mandy
tonight; since she’s here on my bed; and will be nice to have for a cuddle
buddy if she decides to stay with me.
