Ethan:
We’ve had a good day, but Cassie and
Michael aren’t home yet as I’m writing this; so we won’t get to spend much time
with them whenever they do get here – if we manage to stay awake or wake up to
welcome them back. While it would have
been nice to spend more time with them tonight; we’ve still had a good day at
school; there was park play and biking after that; and dinner and a movie night
that ended up being more play time after dinner for the kids while we waited
for Dad to get home from Crystal Springs.
Naomi and Aiden aren’t here with us tonight – we’re saving our sleepover
for tomorrow night – though we might not end up spending much time with Cassie
and Michael; since they will be attending Jen and Garrett’s wedding and
reception tomorrow afternoon and evening.
We’ll be at the wedding ceremony too, but not at the dinner-reception at
the Inn; and then Cassie and Michael will likely end up being late tomorrow
night if they help with the clean-up at the Inn after the reception.
This has been a good day, and I don’t want
to make the start of our two weeks with Cassie before she starts her summer
session at college sound like a sad thing for us; so I’ll just wrap this up;
and hopefully help out with a happy welcome home whenever they do get here.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I thought that this update would be
more-exciting for us – and won’t be. The
weather has been decent, that allowed for more play time outdoors at school;
and the biking on the trails was pretty good too – even with some of the
nonsense the girls had to put up with from Miles and Joshua; since they were in
fine form with their boys-are-better-than-girls insults today. Naomi and Aiden could have stayed tonight,
but we thought that tomorrow night would work out better for all of us; so we’ll
have to wait and see how that works out.
The reality of how busy Cassie and Michael are going to be while Cassie’s
home is hitting us tonight, but as Ethan’s already pointed out; I don’t want to
make too much of that when we haven’t even gotten started on having them home
again. I do really wish that we could
take the time off from school to help out with that, but can’t; so we’ll just
try to have as much fun as possible and be happy.
That should be easy, since we have had a
happy family and friends day whether at school or home; and should have a lot
of fun this weekend too – even if that won’t include a lot of one-on-one time
with Cassie and Michael. We will,
hopefully, be able to welcome them home tonight, though, and get to start the day
out with them tomorrow; so let’s go with the positives; wrap this up; and I’ll
get back to the real world again while we wait for Cassie and Michael to get
home.
