Ethan:
It’s May Day – and unlike other parts of
the world; all is calm and quiet here in our little home town!
I’m not going to get into global news of
any kind, but will mention that if everyone else was as happy as we are here;
there’d be no need for all of the violence elsewhere. Even imagining a protest or riot here is
laughable – and I’m not just saying that because the police don’t even visit
all that often; and that’s usually just to have a meal at the Inn, pick up Olde
Bakery treats to take home with them, or maybe get a pizza on the weekends now
that the pizzeria is an option.
Oh yeah – and they make an appearance for
the Fourth of July parade! ;^)
We’ve had another day at the lab and
studying tonight, so there isn’t any news to write about for any of that or our
school-time fun, but we haven’t taken time off because we will do that tomorrow
for a family birthday and game night; and then Ehlana and I will likely take
all or most of the weekend off too – especially if we get nice weather.
I’ll keep you posted on that, but I’m ready
to call it a night now; so I will.
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
My updates this week aren’t noteworthy, but
maybe they are in one respect – that they show that junior Magi Masters have
normal, uneventful days; and that can sometimes go on for days or weeks. Sure, daily training with our special talents
would be considered amazing by normal people, and those lessons can be really
awesome, but they’re also just part of our own normal – just as other kids do
homework or practice and take lessons for other activities like music or
sports. Writing about some of our
lessons every day would be like other kids writing in their journals about
practicing scales on a piano or chords on a guitar. If you’re really bored-enough to read up on
that sort of thing; Mom and other Magi teachers have all sorts of archives for
the details of their training of all Magi kids – or at least that’s getting
done extensively now.
While we’ve been working a bit too much so
far this week; the fun level will go up tomorrow; and we’re going to have fun
this weekend too – even if we have another spring chores day along with the
play time we’ll have with our family and friends. I’ll take that over Cassie’s week and
weekend; since she’s working twenty hours a day or more; and will keep doing
that at least until they start final exams.
Life should get easier for her after that, since she won’t have any of
the extra assignments or work during exams, but we’ll keep you posted on that –
while also hoping that our favorite Dark Magi Master won’t try anything new
between now and the end of their freshman year.
It’s time to get some sleep now. I want to be ready for a happy family day;
and we will be busy – even if that’s having fun instead of working all the
time. Stay tuned – we will have at least
a bit of more-interesting news from home by tomorrow night.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
