Ethan and Ehlana:
This has been a long, chilly work day; and we’re tired tonight as we get ready for a comparatively-early bedtime. There isn’t much news to offer for today, since the actual work has been all about the usual fall chores and not very interesting. We had some cameo moments of fun along the way while helping out at a total of five homes – including a snack break with Cassie and Michael while at Aiden’s house as one of the highlights, but our day really was mostly about work with the fun coming thanks to who we worked with all day.
Our Friday evening was much-better. Dinner with Mom and Dad was a blast of food and fun; the tweens took care of the clean-up; and then our band practice went very well as we got ready for both our next and hopefully final recording session and the set we’re going to do at the fall festival teen dance next Friday night. We should also report that our football team did not win their home game last night; and no, we weren’t interested in watching the game – though some of our friends were there and we’ve already been razzed about missing out on an ‘official’ date night opportunity. We’ll take our ‘unofficial’ dates and co-ed sofa sleepovers over cold outdoor game nights; and our friends that have crossed over already might agree with us – even if they can’t admit that or get away with sleepovers at their homes! ;^)
Moving along, we followed up the band practice with movies and cuddle time in the lounge; Ehlana and Aiden ended up with the ‘nesting’ option while Naomi and I got a turn using one half of the sectional sofa while Sophia and Aaron were at the other end; and we stayed up and talked until way-too-late. Our start to today included Tai Chi by the river, but it was chilly; and we were really happy to follow that up with a hot breakfast before we all got to work. Sophia and Aaron were with us for some of the work that included helping out at Sophia’s house, but then they did their own thing for the rest of the day while Naomi and Aiden were with us through until we finished our chores by around six-thirty. They headed for their own homes after that; we had dinner with just Mom and Dad; took care of another clean-up; and then it was bath or Jacuzzi time. We felt better after getting clean; had a short music practice; and now we’re pretty much ready to crash and nap now. We can’t claim a best-ever kind of day, but we did get a lot done; so we can be content with those accomplishments. We really are tired too; so it is time to wrap this up and get to the napping part of our night right now!
