Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 1st Birthday, Hannah Sinclair!
We didn’t have any involvement in Hannah’s special day beyond being in on a group gift that was sent to her, but we are thinking about our next-gen cousins tonight – especially after Emma’s birthday party on Monday; since they are both members of that group while we are among the youngest cousins in the generation with their parents! That might feel strangest for Brianna and Faith because they’re even closer in age to those next-gen cousins; and it is only something that we think about at all because of similar stories from our parents and grandparents. We are sure that Hannah has had a happy day, since we have been getting some updates, and that’s all that is really important anyway; so let’s move on to our actual news of the day!
Tai Chi by the river was a bit warmer today, so we enjoyed the workout a bit more; and didn’t feel the need for hot food and drinks at breakfast. It eventually warmed up into the low-eighties, and that worked out great for the crews setting up at the park and for after-school play time, but we didn’t take advantage of the warm to have fun with our friends because we needed to be at the lab or archives instead. Since we won’t be there again until sometime next week due to the fall festival, Mom brought over a picnic dinner for us; we played with our beakers or books until later than we should have; and only got to do a Magi lesson too because Mom multi-tasked that with us while at the lab – and while Dad stayed home and worked from the office. He’s putting in extra time now too to get ready for the weekend and his trip to the city next week; so he is actually still working now as we are writing this update and dealing with our usual bedtime twin chat and computing. We have all gotten a lot done tonight, but the ‘what’ we’ve been doing would bore most future readers as much as our stories would bore our friends; so we won’t put you to sleep with the details – even if that might work to help us to crash and nap now too!
We don’t really have much to add to this update. From what we’ve been told, the park set-up will be finished early thanks to the better weather today and tomorrow; and we are not going to comment on the weekend forecast because we are going to hope for better while also not wanting to jinx anything. We should mention that Cassie and Michael are working hard right now too because they basically need to have everything ready for their trip now so that they can take most of the weekend off too; and we’ll hope for the best for them and so that we can spend some extra time with them before they’ll be away for a month. We don’t want to think about that too much tonight; so let’s wrap this up. It’s time to get some sleep anyway, and that is pretty much all we have for this report; so stay tuned while we rest up for the fall festival and the rest of the adventures we have ahead of us starting tomorrow with another family birthday and the gang of incoming guests we’ll be sharing the fun with over the next three or four days!
