Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 23rd Birthday, Sally Parker!
Cassie and Michael helped their friend out with the birthday fun, but we weren’t involved at all; and our day has actually been fairly-normal. Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad got our day going with some quiet and happy; our academic adventures were entertaining; and then we missed out on yet another after-school play time with our friends because we were way-overdue for some work-play at the lab or archives.
We couldn’t stay there as long as we wanted, but had fun with our books or beakers; and then we got home in time for dinner with Mom and Dad. That was an easy-meal and clean-up; we headed for the Inn; and our entertainment highlight was the gaming with our family, friends, and neighbors. Ehlana and Aiden won the junior title tonight, and while that surprised some people, I don’t know why; since they are quite talented and being quieter by comparison doesn’t affect their gaming skills! Naomi was happy to razz them too, but our team came in fourth; so I was happy to have them bring the title home with our family for a week! Taking Silkie for a walk gave us an excuse for a few more minutes with our best friends after we left the Inn; yes, there were good night hugs and kisses; and yes, Silkie got more hugs and kisses than any humans in our group received! After getting home again, Mom did a Magi lesson with us; we were allowed to do an hour of family business work that was mostly charity-related; and then we were sent upstairs because it is getting late.
While we are ready to get some sleep soon, our bedtime chat has been rolling along for a while because we have a lot on our minds. There is a lot that we want to be doing right now and there doesn’t seem to be enough time to do everything; so we need to plan a bit better than we have been so far. Yes, that is mostly self-inflicted busy, but we need to do better – especially when it comes to our work at the lab or archives. Making that happen will be easier said than done – especially when we’re counting down the days to Cassie and Michael’s trip. They’re feeling the same way about that from their side, and it is more-complicated for them because they have so many people that they want to spend time with before being away for a month. For us, we have to juggle our own schedules with spending time with them; and we’ll try not to be too-jealous when it comes to sharing them with everyone else! We are not going to start any fights over that, and probably won’t actually get to have that much time with them because we really do have a lot on the go – including the fall festival next weekend, but facts don’t need to get in the way of wishes – or jokes; so we’ll keep hoping and have a little fun whether that is with extra play time with Cassie and Michael or those jokes if that doesn’t happen for us. ;^)
It is time to wrap this up and get some sleep, though, so let’s wrap this up and call it a night. We have had a good day; managed to fit in some quality work time along with the fun; and we’ll be happy as we head into the last school day of the week and the weekend.
