Ethan and Ehlana:
Our evening with the Drapers – and Naomi – was awesome! We all helped out with a pasta and sides dinner and the clean-up; and then our evening included a band practice that also helped to entertain Aiden’s family and Leah; and then we – the kids and tweens – watched a movie before Hailey and Leah went to bed and left us to our co-ed sofa sleepover in the family room. We wrapped up our day with cuddle time and finalizing our Christmas album song selections; and then we enjoyed the nap time with our favorite cuddle buddies!
Sunday began with Tai Chi by the river with Cassie and Michael; we had breakfast at the Drapers without them; and then we still ended up meeting for the walk to church. A gang of friends and family gathered with us as we made our way to the church; and we had a happy rest of the morning with the service and Sunday school. Naomi and Aiden came home with us for lunch, and we helped with the work, but then we were set free for the afternoon so that Dad could have some quiet to get his work done for the trip to the city – work that Anna Marie helped him with while Mom did her own thing in the office. We met up with Sophia and Aaron at Aiden’s house; they joined us for a band practice for the songs they’ve agreed to record with us; and then we got Cassie and Michael to join us for two songs too before we all went for a bike ride on the trails and had some outdoor fun with cousins and friends.
Since Dad will be in the city next week, we had a gang booked for the late buffet at the Inn, so we split up in time to get ready for that meal; and then we met up at the Inn again. Cassie and Michael were at the Inn and had a table chosen for us by then; and we got right to choosing our food as soon as Mom and Dad caught up with us there; since they were delayed with some cameo visits between the entrance and ‘our’ table. We had fun with the food and quality chat time; there were more visits during and after dinner – including on the walk home; and we added in a bonus walk by collecting Silkie and taking her for a bedtime walk while seeing Naomi and Aiden to their homes.
Mom did a Magi lesson with us, but no work; since we all wanted to have an early bedtime. Bath or Jacuzzi time was needed after the biking and playground action, but we didn’t spend much time on that tonight; and we’re keeping our bedtime computing short too. We want to rest up ahead of the coming week, and if we get everything worked out; we’ll be very busy. Our first recording session is tomorrow night, but Mom is going to the city on Tuesday, and if we get approval, Naomi and Aiden will be going with us after school on Tuesday so that we can join Mom, Dad, Cassie, and Michael for a dinner with the Malloys. Eli’s birthday is on Tuesday too, so that might not work out for Naomi, but either way; we’ll all eventually get together for a bonus sleepover at Cassie and Michael’s while Mom spends the night in the city. We’ll have more going on for the rest of the week too, but stay tuned for those stories when we get around to living the adventures and then writing about them. We don’t have anything else for tonight, and really need the sleep; so we’re out of here!
