Ethan and Ehlana:
The rain day hasn’t quite happened exactly as forecast, but we have had a very wet day; and we only did a few outdoor chores during a short rain break. We kept busy this morning with indoor chores that included getting ready for the fall festival weekend and guests we are going to have – including the Malloys and probably a cousin or two too. Cassie and Michael came over for lunch with us – and with Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron; and that was an entertainment highlight of our day-so-far. Sure, Cassie and Michael were here to spend some time with Dad, but we all had fun; and then they stayed for part of our afternoon music practice for two songs that they will help us with in the studio. Sophia and Aaron are doing the same with their violins; we had a blast all afternoon with our music and other indoor entertainment; and now we’ve been approved for a three-couple sleepover – and spending dinner and the evening together too!
That’s why this update is early – and happening while our friends are busy at their own homes and getting overnight gear ahead of dinner. Mom and Dad are not really surprising us with a Pizzeria pizza dinner with sides that we need to go and help Mom with making; so we need to get going soon. The best parts of our day are still ahead, but the rest of our story for today will need to wait for our next report. Having Sophia and Aaron joining us for some overnight stays doesn’t really feel strange anymore; so we might be on the way to becoming a group of six instead of a quartet – and we’re not meaning that for the band! That could be an option too, but that’ll be another story for future updates if that happens.
We really do need to go and help Mom now; so that’s all for today.
