Ethan and Ehlana:
We’re back to school; the weather continued to be hot and sunny; and we loved getting to spend time with Cassie and Michael because we can do that now that they’re home to stay!
Our day began with Tai Chi by the river and breakfast with Mom and Dad; we were on the way to school early-enough to collect Naomi and Aiden along the way and also have a quick front porch visit with Cassie, Michael, and Rowen. Cassie had gifts for all four of us – earrings for the girls and clip-on micro footballs with our school team logo on them for Aiden and me that we put on our backpacks. While getting to see Cassie and Michael this morning was great, their top news was the start of construction on the house next door – Rowen and Tim’s future home. That’s why Rowen was there and visiting before going to work at the computer store, but we didn’t have time to hang around; and Cassie and Michael had a work day booked too that we know they got started on by the time we were in our first class of the day.
Mrs. Warren is our teacher this year for most of our classes, so we’re going to have fun; and Naomi is expecting an even-better year with Uncle Nick as her teacher! We all had a good day that included some extra outdoor time thanks to the hot weather; and then the next highlight of our day was the after-school break with a gang of cousins and friends that Cassie and Michael joined us for – along with Mom and Aunt Leanne. Special bakery treats were a hit with all of us; we talked for more than a half hour; and then Cassie and Michael let us draft them to go along for a bike ride and swim. We met up at their house so that they could get their bikes and we could check out the construction progress; the biking, park play, and swimming were all awesome; and then Cassie and Michael came home with us for dinner while our friends and cousins headed for their own homes – including Naomi and Aiden.
While we loved sharing that meal with four of our favorite people, the top chat topic was about plans for Cassie and Michael’s next trip; and we’ll save those stories for when they actually happen in October and November! The food and family time was great; we all helped with the clean-up; and then Cassie and Michael went home while Ehlana and I went to work on the family business in the office with Mom and Dad. Mom did a Magi lesson with us too; we kept busy until she sent us upstairs at ten o’clock – though that felt later thanks to some quality time phasing; and we’ve just finished up with bath or Jacuzzi time that we needed after another hot, busy day. We’re winding down now with the usual twin chat and bedtime computing; so that’s pretty much all we have for this report.
We’ll be getting into a schedule again over the next couple of weeks, but will work that out as we go along; since we’re hoping to add some new activities – like joining the school band with Naomi! We’ll be at the lab or archives after school tomorrow, but that’s mostly because we’ll be busy for the rest of the week and don’t want to take another week off from our work. We’ll have more on that in the coming days and weeks too, but it is time to wrap this up now; so that’s all for tonight!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
