Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - September 25, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

For the second Monday in a row, our top news of the day is a recording session at the Galleria studio.  Cassie and Michael joined us to work on one song; Sophia and Aaron brought their violin skills to two songs; and we had a blast from shortly after school through until we wrapped up by around nine o’clock.  We collectively finished all of the tracks for three songs; and now it’ll be up to the experts to mix them into great recordings!  Mom and Cassie also put together a picnic dinner for all of us; we had extra parents with us for some of the play time and that meal, but that just added to the fun instead of putting pressure on us.  The rest of the details from the various parts of our recording time aren’t newsworthy, but we should mention that we are getting better at putting down each track without many re-takes; and that allows us to put together more-complex music than we tried to do with our first round of recordings.

Moving along, we had extra parental support for getting our gear home; Mom only did a short Magi lesson with us after that; we did a bedtime visit with Mom and Dad; and now we’re winding down toward nap time with the usual computing and twin chat.  The weather was really good again today and is looking good for the entire week.  While we were busy, most of our friends were out and enjoying the sun and warm with biking and other fun, but we’re okay with the trade-offs; and it works for us.  Our school day was better thanks to the weather too; and we hope that we can enjoy decent mornings for Tai Chi by the river for as long as possible through until winter!

That’s a bit too-optimistic, and probably indicates that at least one of us needs to wrap this up and get some sleep; so that is all for tonight!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
