Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - September 6, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 3rd Birthday, Colin Sinclair!

Happy 23rd Birthday, Lee Hu!

We have not had a birthday-fun kind of day, and haven’t even talked with Colin or Lee, but we do know that Cassie and Michael had a long video chat with their friends; and had sent gifts for Lee too.

Our school day was good; the weather was great; and we skipped the outdoor play time with our friends after school because we played at the lab or archives.  We really wanted to do that, but the pull of the great outdoors with all of the sun and warm was really tempting; and we know that those friends that did go out to play had a lot of fun with biking, football, and swimming.  Yes, some of our guy friends are getting more-serious about football, and Aiden and I will likely get drawn into that action this fall, but we’re not going to get serious about it at least for another year.  Moving along, we loved the play time at the lab; stayed a bit too late; and ended up having our late dinner on our own because Mom and Dad didn’t wait for us to get home too.  We took care of warming up our meals and the clean-up; joined Mom and Dad in the office for a Magi lesson and family business work; and now we’re winding down toward nap time with the usual bedtime twin chat and computing.

That’s also all we have for our second day of school – though we should mention that we’ve now also been through one of each of our classes in our two-day schedule; and we’re happy with the first round of lesson modules that will keep us busy over the next month or so.  It is a bit early to predict that we’ll be invited to join the school band, but we’re confident anyway; and know that we’ll get to play with Naomi – even if doing that this year is rarely allowed.

Okay, it is time to wrap this up and get some sleep; so we’re out of here!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
