Ethan and Ehlana:
This update is coming to you from the clinic – which is why our top news of the day isn’t anymore! Violet went into labor while we were all at the dance at the park; and we’re currently helping out with both some kid control and shielding while Violet and Dillon are busy – with help from Uncle Adam, Aunt Deborah, Mom, and others.
Compared to imminent baby delivery news; winning the talent competition seems unimportant. Naomi and the Haunted Harmonies won the contest thanks to what we’ll humbly proclaim were two amazing performances in the final two rounds; and then we were on-stage at the dance again to perform our title-winning song – and then an encore song. No, we didn’t help Violet go into labor, since that didn’t happen until more than an hour after we were on stage; and that won’t keep our families from making jokes about that anyway.
In addition to the morning and afternoon rounds of the talent competition, we also had fun at the festival with our families and friends while checking out the pavilions for everything from entertainment to produce and craft competitions and shows. We saved up the thrill rides for the afternoon, since it was below freezing early this morning; and it took a while to warm up into the low-sixties. The midway games were fun – as always; and we even got to spend some time with Jaimie, Kaitlyn, and their boyfriends. Jayden spent a lot of time with us – and some of our friends, but then he also played with other cousins too when we were busy with the band.
We don’t, by the way, have any of our non-Magi family here at the clinic right now. That’s mostly because our Proctor cousins have been drafted to help out with our younger cousins. Jaimie and Kaitlyn are happy with that because they’re keeping their boyfriends overnight too; and babysitting isn’t too-bad for them; since Jayden is helping them with keeping Zack, Eli, Sebastian, and Caleb busy with video gaming that is probably still going on now.
This has been another awesome day. We need to wrap this up because we need to get back to focusing on our Magi-powered help with the shielding now. We’ll save the baby details for our next report; so stay tuned for that while we get back to living that bonus festival weekend adventure! ;^)
