Ethan and Ehlana:
Mom and Dad had no news at all regarding their kid-free night; so we’ll guess that they had a happy end to their special day! The buffet dinner party at the Inn was awesome; and so was our sleepover at Naomi’s house that included another music practice and an encore of Hocus Pocus 2. While Cassie and Michael started their mid-term exams week; our day began with Tai Chi for four in Naomi’s back yard; the weather warmed to around eighty today; and we split our after-school time between a band practice and biking the trails with some friends.
Our top adventure of the day was a bonus recording session at the Galleria studio to record the bonus songs we picked from Hocus Pocus 2 – ‘The Witches Are Back’ and ‘One Way or Another’. The movie versions of the songs are comparatively-short, and we didn’t do anything special with either song; so we got both recordings done fairly-quickly. We still impressed our recording engineer and the other spectators in the control room; and we’ll still get both songs added to the E.P. in time for the fall festival too!
We haven’t written about the cost of these recordings, but don’t really think about it either; since we do make money from our family business jobs; and the expenses aren’t really all that much – though we’ll need to sell a lot of digital copies before we’d break even on those expenses. We’ll let you know how that goes for us eventually, but we’re also still already booking more recording sessions for a Christmas album; and will get started on picking and practicing songs for that after the fall festival.
Since getting home, we did a Magi lesson with Mom; took care of some family business work; and now we’re pretty much ready to crash and nap. There isn’t anything else to add to this report; so we’ll just call it a night and go do that!
