Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - October 18, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

The dreaded ‘Arctic Blast’ had us taking our Tai Chi indoors this morning!  Okay, we really only stayed inside because we didn’t want to add layers for the slightly-below-freezing early-morning temperature and opted to stay warm instead.  That workout and breakfast made for a good start to the day; and then our academic adventures were happy and not newsworthy in any way.  The rest of our day since the end of school was a near repeat of yesterday with band practice first and then play time at the lab or archives that included taking a picnic dinner along.  Mom did her own thing while at the lab – work on their computer systems and then some family business work; and her biggest story today is probably that she didn’t go to the city for a five-star sleepover with Dad.  We came home at ten o’clock; bath or Jacuzzi time was next on our to-do list; and now Ehlana and I are getting ready to crash and nap soon.

The final news we have for tonight is partially-delayed because we should have mentioned that Grandma and Grandpa left for Arizona yesterday – driving there this time; and arriving tonight.  The driving plan is a change this year, but not the first time for them to do that, but this time; they wanted to drive to have the minivan available instead of renting extra cars for our Rice and Proctor grandparents.  They will all fly here for Thanksgiving, and that’ll mean getting rides from-and-to the airport, but that’s better than adding more days of driving on either side of that holiday weekend.

Okay, that’s all for tonight, and we really are ready to sleep now; so we’re out of here!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
