Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - October 17, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

Happy 2nd Anniversary, Kyle and Erin Landry!

We didn’t help Tim’s cousins with celebrating their special day, but Mom delivered gifts and cards for them while we were at school; and was told that they are having a happy day while also not getting to take a day off from work because they are too-busy on the farm and with the repair business to take a break right now.

As for our day; let’s cover the news since our last report.

The dinner party at the Inn for Aunt Leanne was awesome; we had fun with our cousins and friends while Mom and Dad were busy with Aunt Leanne, Uncle Adam, and the rest of the parents at their table.  By the end of that meal, we found out that Brianna was doing a sleepover with Faith and Zack was with Eli for the night, so Ehlana invited Naomi to stay with us instead of having to put up with the two boys overnight; and I came home with Mom and Dad while Ehlana went with Naomi to help her pack for the sleepover.  Aiden wasn’t able to stay with us too, and that seemed weird; but does happen now and then with our best friends – if not very often!  Dad had a lot of work to get done last night, and Mom helped him out with some time phasing, but we weren’t allowed to do that with them; so we opted for some music fun; taking turns with bath or Jacuzzi time; and it was not random that Naomi and I got to have bonus cuddle time in the lounge while Ehlana took her turn in her Jacuzzi.  That was definitely a highlight of my night; and getting teased about that by Ehlana and our parents was a trade that I didn’t mind either. ;^)

Moving along, we watched a movie after Ehlana joined us again; eventually had a nap – in two, segregated bedrooms; and then we were up early to see Dad off on his trip to Crystal Springs.  Our Monday began for a second time after another nap, and thanks to that ‘Arctic Blast’ change in the weather; Tai Chi by the river was a bit chilly – though I supposed that we should be proud of braving the near-freezing cold while exercising outdoors.  We had hot cereal for breakfast; had a good day at school; and then we decided to go with the after-school band practice first and then go to work and play at the lab or archives after that – including taking a picnic dinner along so that we could multi-task our work and that meal.  Mom came along; spent an hour or so with Ehlana getting an update on the work going on there; and then she spent the rest of the time with me in the archives.  We didn’t work together, but stayed close and talked while we were busy with our own projects and reading, and while that sounds tough to do; remember that our ‘talking’ can be telepathic – and was that tonight.  We stayed a bit too-late; got home a half-hour ago; and now we’re pretty much wiped out and ready to crash and get some sleep – so we will.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
