Ethan and Ehlana:
Congratulations, Marc and Gretchen Johnson – you’re married!
Cassie, Michael, Rowen, and Tim did a flying trip here and back again to be home for their friends’ wedding ceremony, but with mid-term exams happening next week; they only made time for a short visit with us before and after the wedding; and then they were on the road again – and doing work or studying on the drive time each way. Compared to that, we liked our fall clean-up work more – though Cassie and Rowen in particular think that the effort was worth it to be here for their friends and their families.
Our chores time really wasn’t newsworthy, but we were able to work with Naomi, Aiden, and some of our cousins; so we managed to have some fun mixed in with the work; and the weather was decent too once it warmed up from the overnight cool-down. Mom and Dad went to the wedding ceremony too, but we stayed home and worked; which is why we were set free by four o’clock or so. After that, we got cleaned up and had a music practice with Naomi and Aiden. Now that we’re up to that part of our story; it’s time to back up to last night and the birthday party and sleepover news.
Uncle Nick’s party was really awesome, and while the food was a highlight; the best part of the night was getting to watch Hocus Pocus 2! We were very glad to find out that the sequel was awesome instead of a disappointing flop; we loved it as much as the original; and we like the songs so much that we had a band practice after coming home with Naomi and Aiden for a sleepover so that we could work on them for Naomi and the Haunted Harmonies. We’ve also been able to book an extra recording session at the studio for Monday night to record them and add the songs to our E.P.; which is why we practiced this afternoon and again after dinner before Naomi and Aiden went home for the night. That might seem like too much to get done so quickly, but having photographic memories helps out a lot; and the movie version lyrics aren’t really tough to learn.
We’ll have more on that on Monday night; so let’s move along. We had a sleepover with Naomi and Aiden last night, and that was a trend so that Uncle Nick and Aunt Deborah weren’t the only parents with a kid-free night – and the chance to go out to Sheldon’s after the movie too. Naomi’s parents were one of those couples without kids last night; and we do not need to comment on anything that any of those parents were doing while their kids were elsewhere. We had fun with the music; re-watched Hocus Pocus 2 after that; and then we got on with the co-ed sofa sleepover part of our night.
Tai Chi by the river was chilly, but we had fun with that; some fatigue healing helped all of us to get motivated; and we had a hot breakfast before getting to the work. We took breaks for those micro-visits with Cassie, Michael, Rowen, and Tim; lunch was a snack; and we had extra guests for dinner – three sets of parents and one brother. All we have left to cover for this report is the post-practice time. Mom did a Magi lesson with us while Dad worked in the office; bath or Jacuzzi time was required after that; and now we’re winding down fast and ready to get some sleep after a too-late night last night and busy day. We have a fairly-special day on the schedule for tomorrow, and we definitely want to be ready for that; so it’s time to wrap this up and get some sleep!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
