Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden:
This has been another amazing weather day; and the high for the day closed in on the mid-eighties! That would have been great for a play day, but we had another fall chores day; and can’t complain at all when the weather made all of the work much-better than usual for this time of year. We also got a lot more done and sooner than normal; so we still had a bit of time to go for a bike ride on the trails during the last couple of hours of the afternoon before dinnertime. We worked and played with Naomi, Aiden, and some of our cousins and their friends as we shared the chores at all of our homes, but only Naomi and Aiden came over for dinner and a sleepover while everyone else had other plans.
Mom and Dad opted for a Pizzeria pizza meal with bakery dessert treats, so that was a great start to our evening fun. We followed that up with a band practice – after the clean-up; and the top news from the music fun was that we’re working on Christmas music now too along with the songs we already have been practicing for our Halloween gigs. We’re doing that to get ready for our next round of recording sessions at the studio; and we’re hoping to put together a full Christmas album. Naomi’s ongoing band plans include playing at the school Christmas dance too; and we’ll hope that a digital Christmas album will help us out with that goal.
We followed up the band practice with Halloween movies. Mom and Dad joined us for the first one; and we don’t need to write about what they might be doing now while we’re watching the second show. That’s also our news for the day, but we still need to cover the rest of our stories from last night; so let’s get to that now. Ehlana and Naomi had a lot of fun with Paige and the rest of their girlfriends – partially thanks to the guy-free time! I definitely don’t want to write about the bits of gossip that Ehlana and Naomi have passed along to Aiden and me; so let’s just comment on the changes to that girl chat content instead of the details. In a nutshell, our girl-friends have begun to transition from talking about the weird that is – or was – the dramas of older teen and tween couples to their own interest in boys in a crossing-over kind of way. That doesn’t personally scare the guys in this room, but it has been weird to hear about how the girls feel about our guy-friends. Aiden and I can assure you that our guy talk yesterday did not include any gossip about girls that each of us like – or not; and that’s entirely because we’re supposed to be too-cool for that in addition to that not being a guy thing in the first place. Guys our age do talk about girls; and we don’t need to go there either. Okay, Naomi wants me to add that only certain guys say things that they shouldn’t, but we don’t need to add names; and we’ll all hope that crossing over will encourage those guys to stop acting and sounding like idiots as-often as they do now.
Moving along, the girls had a barbeque dinner with the usual bakery cake desserts; their evening included outdoor play time; tween chick flick movies; and a late night before they got around to napping. Aiden and I had a quieter night, but we had fun with the biking on the trails; an easy-dinner with Mom; and a mix of music fun and video gaming in the lounge. Dad got home from the city, and we spent some time with him too, but he was tired, and once again, we don’t need to write about anything that might have happened after Mom took him off to bed for the night an hour or so after he got home! Aiden and I didn’t stay up as late as Ehlana and Naomi; so we got more sleep than they did last night. We were up earlier too, and loved the Tai Chi by the river with Mom and Dad – especially since it was much-warmer than during that Arctic Blast earlier in the week. Our breakfasts were similar for content; quieter for Aiden and I; and more-fun for Ehlana and Naomi. That brings us up to the start of chores time, and while Aiden and I started earlier; Ehlana and Naomi were less than an hour behind us by the time they got back from Paige’s home and dealt with their overnight gear and visits with parents. As we’ve already mentioned the work details aren’t really important; so that’s all we have for this report.
We’re going to enjoy this last bit of cuddle time while watching the rest of the movie; and then we’ll crash into the co-ed sofa sleepovers that aren’t going to be ‘accidental’ at all. Our parents don’t believe that anyway even if we tried to use that excuse, but they still let us get away with these sleepovers; so we’ll continue to enjoy them while we can! ;^)
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
