Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - February 9, 2020

Ehlana:

Cassie must have had a good birthday, but I’m basing that on the lack of kid-rated news from her adventures yesterday; so you’ll likely need to get those details elsewhere – or not; since that is likely information that some of us just don’t need to have! ;^)

As for here at home, we’ve had a busy, mostly-fun day.  It was quiet here at home for Tai Chi and breakfast; our church and Sunday school time was focused on a theme that was all about love – whether a somewhat more-serious message from Pastor John about biblical history of love or the kid-friendly version that included Valentine crafts that can double as bonus gifts for our parents on Friday.  The weather warmed a bit more today too, so after lunch; Ethan and I went out to play while Mom and Dad stayed home and worked in the office.  Let’s not comment on how happy they were when we got home again for dinner; since we don’t believe that was entirely just because we were with them again.

There are some things that kids don’t need to know about their parents!

Naomi and Aiden were able to hang out with us for most of that time, but other friends were out too; so we had a small gang for the biking on the trails and playground fun – though that group morphed as some friends moved on and other joined in on the fun.  There was some exploring at the park too, but while some of our friends got dirty and wet with some adventuring too-near the falls; we weren’t interested in doing that too; so we kept our wandering around to places that weren’t muddy or worse.  All of the friends that did get slimed also needed to head home early – though Miles tried to stick it out despite finding out that it wasn’t so warm out today that being wet wouldn’t be a problem for him.

I won’t be surprised if he ends up sick within a few days, but then that wouldn’t be a first for him either; and he seems to think that being sick is a fair trade-off for some time off from school.  It is so nice to have a brother that isn’t like that at all!

There isn’t much to add for the rest of our day.  We had dinner at home with Mom and Dad; some hang-out time together; and then it was time to head for our beds because we’ve had enough fun for the weekend and want the extra sleep.  Okay, only two of us are likely going to sleep early, but that’s too-much information for the kids in the house; so let’s not go there.  Valentine’s Day will be the theme of the week, but we have some lab, archives, and study days to get through first; so it should be quiet around here through until Thursday.

Finally, as I wrap this up; we are all glad that we haven’t had any problems with Gwyneth or any hired guns she may be hiring since Devon and his team disappeared from our digital radar.  We hope that trend will continue for a while longer, but know that will still be temporary; and that she’ll never give up and leave us alone forever.  I hope that I haven’t jinxed us on that ahead of Valentine’s Day, but Ethan and I don’t have any sense of imminent threat from our Dark Magi enemies; so we’ll likely be okay.  That’s all I have for tonight; so I’m going to put my toys away and get some sleep while I can.

This is Ehlana Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light!

Ethan:

We’ve had a good day, but I’m tired; so I’ll leave this update to Ehlana, and since her reports are being filed ahead of mine this year; you already have that; so we can all move on now – to sleep for me! ;^)

May the Magi Force be with you!
