Ehlana and Ethan:
The temperature warmed into the low-sixties
today; so we were very happy campers thanks to a good morning at church and
Sunday school followed by a picnic lunch at the park with our friends to go
along with the major biking and play afternoon while Dad caught up on his
weekend work in the office. We went to
the late buffet dinner at the Inn; did some studying or a last bit of work in
the office after that; and now we’ve just finished another bit of music play
time ahead of this bedtime chat and journal update.
That’s all of our news from home, but we
haven’t done a Cassie and Michael update in a while; so let’s do that before
wrapping up and going to get some sleep.
They’re busy getting ready for mid-term
exams; spent a lot of the weekend – and last week – doing that; and only had a
couple of play moments to report during our vid-chat this morning at breakfast. We’re sure that they had regular fun
opportunities that weren’t included in that report – as usual, but we’re okay
with not getting any of that information about our sister and brother-in-law;
and it is enough to know that they’re happy even when they’re working
hard. As usual, they’re doing more work
than needed so that they can help their friends, but that’s just how we are
here at home; and that’s just a tiny part of what they’re meant to do. Those friendships and their help may not seem
like a big deal in the grand plan for the Ascension of the Light, but it
matters a lot to everyone involved; and it is also just the way we are here in
our little part of the world.
