Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - February 7, 2020

Ehlana:

We’re doing a sleepover with our best friends tonight; so this update is early – and won’t include any of the best news of the day; since the fun is really just getting going for the weekend.  That will start with family-and-friends’ dinner and a movie night; and then Naomi and Aiden will be staying for that sleepover.  The temperature climbed above freezing again today – if not by much, but that wasn’t enough to get us out and biking the trails today.  We instead did some after-school visits to the bakery and salon; Naomi and I got our hair done while visiting her Mom – just in time for Valentine’s Day next weekend; and then we stopped to pick up overnight bags for Naomi and Aiden after meeting up with the boys again.  They got haircuts today too – they just did that at the barber shop instead of the salon.

We haven’t been back here for long, but Ethan and I are getting our updates for the day finished now so that we don’t have to do it later – especially when one of us is hoping for a co-ed sofa sleepover that won’t give Ethan a chance to play on his computer while busy cuddling with Naomi instead.  The rest of the story for today will have to wait for the next reports, and I need to move on and help Mom with pre-dinner work and kid control once the cousins get here; so that’s all for now.

This is Ehlana Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light!

Ethan:

Our school time was good; we had Olde Bakery after-school snacks while checking in with Aiden’s parents; and then the barber shop hair cuts for Aiden and me was just a chore for us while the girls had fun at the salon with Naomi’s Mom and the other women hanging out at the salon while they were there.  The barber shop is as much of a gossip stop as the salon, but I’m a kid; the men tone things down while young boys are around; and that ensures that we don’t get exposed to the stories that aren’t kid-rated. ;^)

The fun level is on the rise now that we’re home.  Mom is drafting us for some work and kid control, but that’ll be fun too; and we’re looking forward to a multi-option pasta dinner with our favorite side dishes and Olde Bakery desserts.  I’ll have the rest of the news for today with the next update, but that’s all for now; so I’ll move on and get to all of the work and fun.

May the Magi Force be with you!
