Ehlana, Naomi, Ethan, and Aiden:
We’ve had an awesome day; and this
quad-update is coming to you live from the lounge as we’re getting ready to
wind down toward our sleepover with a movie that we probably won’t stay awake
to watch because we’re tired and need to get some sleep ahead of our trip to
Maple Valley tomorrow.
There isn’t any news from school – unless you’re
interested in the test and quiz that wasn’t challenging at all for three of
us. Naomi had a test today too, but
being a grade ahead of the rest of us doesn’t really make any difference for
things like that when her ‘real’ education is far ahead of her classwork
studies too.
The real fun for our day began once we were
set free for the weekend. Warmer weather
into the low-fifties allowed us to get out on our bikes again; though we mostly
stuck to the main trails because some of the trails at the park were still a
bit muddy after the rain earlier this week.
We also played and explored at the park; had an Olde Bakery snack picnic
while there; and then headed home in time to help out with kid control of the
younger cousins before dinner. We didn’t
have a full gang for dinner or the movie tonight, but Zack and Eli were a
full-time job for Ethan and Aiden; we had fun with the parents during the meal
and the movie; and Spies in Disguise managed to keep us entertained until our
guests headed home for the night – most of them planning on going to Maple
Valley tomorrow too.
As usual, two of us are planning on a co-ed
sofa sleepover now; the other two are cuddling too but will switch to separate
sleeping bags when we’re ready to crash and nap; and our second movie of the
night is the new version of ‘Cats’ because we expect the music to help us drift
off to sleep. Yes, we know it wasn’t a
box-office hit, but we like it anyway – just as we like most musicals.
That’s pretty much all we have for tonight,
so we’ll wrap this up; get the movie started; and then get some sleep sooner or
later. Stay tuned for the Winterfest
adventures update that at least two of us will have for you tomorrow
night. We’re sure that it is going to be
another awesome day!
