Ethan:
Happy Easter!
We’ve had a really happy day; so I’ll focus
on that – and ignore the sad that’s come with having to say goodbye to Cassie,
Michael, and the rest of our weekend guests after such a short visit.
Waking up to the Easter Bunny treats was
great – if early; and then we still had to hurry to get ready for the sunrise
service at church even though Cassie and Michael didn’t need to be there early
with the teen praise team and we didn’t have any overnight guests. We loved the sunrise service, but it was definitely
different to watch it without having Cassie and Michael leading it for the
first time since we were toddlers. The
pancake breakfast at church and some play time kept us busy between services;
and then we wrapped up our morning of fun with the ‘regular’ Sunday service
before coming home again.
Our family Easter dinner was early – mostly
so that our guests could head home – or back to school – by mid or late
afternoon. Cassie and Michael had that
meal with the kids, so that worked out great for Ehlana and me; they packed up
for the trip back to their townhouses after that; there were some family
goodbyes; and then they headed over to the Bassett’s house for Michael’s family
Easter dinner. While they were busy, we
had more good-byes; helped out with some chores around the house; and then we
had to deal with the hardest goodbyes of the day when it was time for Cassie
and Michael – and Rowen and Tim – to leave.
I’m not going to go there; so let’s keep
this update moving. Most of our friends
were busy, but Ehlana and I went for a bike ride before having a snack-dinner
with Mom and Dad – while they did some work in the office. We had visits with Naomi and Aiden along the
way, but that was comparatively-quiet compared to all of the family and friends
busy from the rest of the day. We were
ready for some quiet by then; and that’s what we’ve had here tonight. None of us were very hungry after having our
big meal early this afternoon, so we just had leftovers that really was just a
snack; Ehlana and I had some more outdoor time that included a long walk with
Silkie; and then we spent a bit of time studying in the office and doing a Magi
lesson with Mom before coming upstairs for some bath or Jacuzzi time and going
to bed early.
I guess that’s it for today. There was some really awful Easter news from
Sri Lanka, but I’m not going to get into a rant about the horrid things that
people are capable of doing, and while those attacks were targeted and
intentionally on this holiday; terrible things are done every day – and we can’t
spend all of our time focused on the worst when what we need to do instead is
to focus on the Light – and the Ascension that we will be part of that will
change the world for the better.
We are blessed here in our little town; and
I will always be grateful for the love, joy, and happiness that we are going to
share with the world – even if that sometimes doesn’t happen nearly as quickly
as we’d like..
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I can’t really add to that, Ethan – so I
won’t; and just get back to my Jacuzzi play time.
Happy Easter, everyone!
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
