Ethan:
This has ended up being a rather-strange
start to our holiday weekend.
Our school day was mostly Easter-themed
play time; and then we didn’t end up working at the lab or really hanging out
with many of our friends either because they were busy with their own families
for various reasons. We have family
visiting for the weekend; but not staying every night at our house. Dad worked as long as needed in Crystal
Springs; so he was late getting home; and Michael didn’t come over to spend the
night with us until he’d spent as much time as he could with his parents before
leaving them to get started on their kid-free night not all that long after
they closed the Inn for the night.
Ehlana and I have spent most of the time
since getting home from school with Mom – either helping out around the house
and with dinner or doing some work or studying in the office. We’ve just finished up a visit with Dad and
Michael, and since Cassie and Tim are really just getting started on their
drive home now; we’re heading for bed because waiting up for them really isn’t
an option.
The family time will really get going tomorrow;
so I’ll be happy for the comparative quiet and extra rest; since we really will
be busy with everything we have on the schedule over the next three days.
Stay tuned; there’s sure to be a lot more
to come!
Ethan – out!

Ehlana:
I’ll only add that Cassie booked the
equivalency exam for tonight so that she’d have a reason to stay and come home
with Tim after his night class. Leaving
after last classes was an option for Michael and Rowen, and Cassie convinced
them that Michael could catch the tail end of his father’s birthday – which he
did; and there was no reason for Rowen to wait for Tim. After the problems with Gwyneth and her
goons, it seemed a good idea to leave Tim to drive home on his own; so there
was no way that someone wasn’t staying with him – and Cassie did still need to
get that exam done. She also took care
of her lab assignments between last class and the exam; so she won’t need to be
back on campus early on Sunday to do that part of her weekend homework.
Her studies will be an issue this
weekend. She got double assignments for
basically all of her normal Friday classes along with bonus lecture material to
watch, listen to, or read; so getting that done along with the usual Easter and
family fun will be a challenge.
We will still have fun – which for Cassie
will start when she gets here and finds out that she has a cuddle buddy waiting
for her – even though she won’t have time for much more than a nap by the time
she gets home. ;^)
I won’t add anything else about that, and I
guess that’s really all I have for tonight anyway; so let’s just call it a
night and I’ll get some sleep now too.
This is Ehlana Proctor; coming to you live
from what is now my past!
