Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy 1st anniversary, Jen and
Garrett!
Cassie, Michael, and May were part of a
minor celebration for their friends – something that they did with an outdoor
gathering at the Inn, but we were not involved at all; so we’ll leave any other
news for this to others – and write about the top story for every kid and teen
in town.
Quarry Lake gets top billing today because
we’re heading toward the first holiday weekend of the summer; so official news
is out that our favorite local campground is ready to open their newest
entertainment expansion – a second man-made lake. The timing may prove unfortunate, but we’re
fired up because this new lake will have aqua-bikes and paddleboats. There will be more places to swim with slides
and diving platforms too, but this lake will mostly be for playing on the water
instead of in it. The camping areas will
be expanding around and beyond the new lake too, but that’ll be done in stages;
and will mostly come in handy this summer as the campgrounds open up; but do
that with some social distancing in place.
We didn’t go out to Quarry Lake today to
take a look, but might do that later this week.
Instead of doing that, we had our usual study morning; we biked and
wandered around the park this afternoon; and then we had a quiet dinner-for-three
at home with Mom while Dad’s in the city tonight and our collegians were
busy. Our lives haven’t changed much
today, but that isn’t true for Cassie, Michael, and May now that they’re
finished with their exams; and now they’ll need to figure out how to keep busy
every day now that they won’t have their studies again until mid-August – or at
least that’s true for Michael and May; since Cassie will not have much of a break
before her summer session begins.
More news on their plans will be coming
soon, but we’ll cover that as needed; and we’re pretty much ready to wrap
things up for today and get some sleep.
We mentioned that Dad’s in Crystal Springs tonight; and we’re tired
after the early wake-up call to see him off on that trip this morning. Pets and life intervened so that we didn’t
have the usual extra nap time before starting the rest of our day, so while we
haven’t been overloaded today; we have still been awake for a long time. Mom also took advantage of having May out for
a few hours to do a Magi lesson with us tonight; and we used a time phase to
get extra work done on our studies or family business projects. Sleeping is our next top priority, and we don’t
have anything else to add for tonight; so we’ll move on and do that.
This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from
the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
