Ehlana and Ethan:
Sleepover number three is going to be at
our house tonight, but we’re only doing this update early because we have time
now; and don’t expect much news for the rest of the day anyway.
We don’t really have much news for today at
all. Tai Chi in Naomi’s back yard was
fun; we had a hot breakfast; a busy study and online lessons morning; and then
an easy-lunch before being set free for the rest of the day. We biked at the park until it was about to
rain; played at the lab or archives for a couple of hours; and now we’re home
for the day – and waiting for Naomi and Aiden to join us after stops at their
own homes for overnight bags and visits with one or more parent. Aiden will swing by the bakery for that too;
and might bring bonus treats along for us to enjoy after dinner or at
breakfast. That isn’t even a top-five
reason for why he’s a best friend; but it is a bonus! ;^)
Mom won’t need much help ahead of dinner
because we’re going with pizzeria pizza and only a couple of side dishes, but
that’s next on our to-do list; and then we’ll get to spend a bit of time with
our favorite collegians before they get back to studying for or writing their
exams. They’re still in exams right now;
so we’re also staying out of the way – and we plan on doing that for the rest
of the night too. That isn’t much fun,
but they will be finished in another couple of days; and then maybe we’ll get
to spend more time with them on fun activities – like canoe trips or Quarry
Lake adventures. We’re beginning to
mention that sort of thing a lot; so the lack of entertainment variety is
obviously getting to us now too.
Another sleepover with our best friends
might be considered boring and repetitive too, but we’ll still have fun; and it
is better than normal; since we’d never usually have this many sleepovers
during a school week. We’re starting to
ramble on about nothing a bit now; so we’ll wrap this up; move on to helping
Mom with getting ready for dinner; and then have fun with the rest of our day.
