Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - July 20, 2023

Ethan and Ehlana:

We’re just wrapping up a quiet evening here at home with Mom that included some family business work, a Magi lesson, and bath or Jacuzzi time.  There aren’t any overnight guests at our house because our best friends have been missed by their own families and our visiting cousins are elsewhere for the night.  That works for us, since we’re tired out tonight; so let’s get this update written and then we’ll crash and nap for the rest of the night.

Tai Chi by the river and breakfast this morning was followed by getting ready for our biking adventure to Quarry Lake.  The teens staying with Cassie and Michael last night talked them into going along with us for the entire day while having their morning meal; so that was an awesome surprise for us and made all of our adventures today just a little bit better!  All of the kids and teens that could go along with us did, and the youngest exceptions were brought out to the campground with a handful of parents that helped out with our picnic lunch.  The ride out to Quarry Lake was fun without any drama – even with Zack, Eli, and some of the other guys that came along around and capable of messing that up for us.  They still seem to be on best behavior, though, and played nice with us most of the time.  It took about an hour and a half to ride out to the campground – mostly because we took our time with the younger kids; there was time to play at the campground for nearly four hours; and then we biked home at close to the same pace because some of us were wearing down by then.  All of the water play and the rest of our adventures at Quarry Lake were awesome, but we don’t need to repeat the usual activities again in our journal; so we won’t do that tonight.

Mom hosted a barbeque dinner for all of us and a gang of parents, family, and friends.  Most of the work for that meal was done by the time we got home and had our gear put away; so it wasn’t long before we sat down to eat; and then the teens and tweens were drafted for the clean-up duties.  Cassie and Michael have all of the younger cousins at their house tonight – the last group they’ll have from our family before they head to China late next week; so they’ll definitely be tired out by whatever time they eventually get some sleep – especially if Zack and the other boys keep Michael up playing video games for half the night!  We’re okay with getting a quiet night instead, and after all of our dinner guests headed for their own homes or elsewhere; we got right to the work and Magi lesson – and used a time phase to get more done without pulling an all-nighter to finish everything on our to-do lists.

There isn’t really anything else to add for this report, so we’ll just wrap it up right now and call it a night.  We have a very busy weekend booked; so the extra down time will help us to be ready for all of those adventures!  Stay tuned for those stories while we get back to the real world and live those adventures – starting with our imminent adventures in dreamland!

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
