Naomi, Ethan, Ehlana, and Aiden:
Since Aiden semi-suggested that Ethan and Ehlana might get their journal back tonight; I can’t resist the urge to keep that from happening – and Ethan went along because I can be very convincing and you’d know that for sure if you could see the smile on his face right now! ;^)
Our day has been awesome so far; and we’re continuing the fun with a co-ed sofa sleepover in the lounge tonight because we were ready for a cooler, more-comfortable night. Our day began with Tai Chi by the river with Cassie and Michael; we did our own thing for breakfast – along with Hailey and Leah; and then we had a chores morning at all of our homes that included packing up our camp and a lot of yard work. We need to get all of the usual weekend work finished ahead of the weekend, but then that’s been the plan for weeks now; so maybe weekday yard chores will be our summertime norm. We wrapped up the work part of the day by one; my future mother-in-law took care of feeding us; and then we played for the rest of the afternoon. Our wandering around included a visit with Cassie and Michael; biking, canoeing, and swimming; Aiden and I picked up overnight bags ahead of coming here for dinner; and then our evening included some unofficial babysitting during the co-ed ball practice; shower or Jacuzzi time when we were ready to come in for the night; a Magi lesson with Mom-to-be; and a music jam session. Now we are winding down with a movie and cuddle time; and we’ll eventually get around to the co-ed napping.
The last thing that I want to mention for today is that it was very hot today – with a high around one-hundred. That made the work a bit tougher as it got hotter; we wanted to stay wet more-often; and the heat really did make a difference for our overnight plans; since camping at my house or here had been options too. We’re sure to have more camping over the next two weeks too; so we should rest up now and get ready for that – and all of the other fun we’ll be having with the incoming cousins. I’m sure that Ethan and Ehlana will have more on that as we share those adventures, but I’m ready to get back to cuddling with Ethan now; so that’s all for me for tonight!
