Ethan and Ehlana:
This update is coming to you as we get ready for the late buffet dinner at the Inn that most of our favorite people will be attending – or at least the people that are here in town this weekend. We should start this update from the end of the last one, though, so let’s get to it!
When the rain moved on yesterday, we helped out for a while in the back yard – mostly getting tables and chairs dried off ahead of that barbeque dinner. After that, we had time to check in with Cassie, Michael, and the gang with them; we went for a swim; and then everyone gathered at our house for that meal. We had fun with that; the evening play time that followed; and then the ongoing entertainment we had when we went home with Cassie and Michael – along with a not-so-small gang of younger cousins and friends. We watched movies, played video games, and stayed up too late before Ehlana and I still managed to wrap up our day with a co-ed sofa sleepover with Naomi and Aiden. We got away with that because the guest rooms were filled, and while sharing rooms was an option; we chose the cuddle buddy option and accepted the teasing that went along with it both last night and today.
Tai Chi by the river was still at the normal time and awesome thanks to the extra exercise buddies and spectators; we helped Cassie and Michael with the major breakfast; and then we managed to get everyone ready for the church service at the park and over there on-time. The teen-led service was great; and then the noon ball game was with two of the men’s teams because the co-ed match will be on Tuesday. Our family picnic lunch was along the sidelines for that game, but most of us didn’t stay to watch it all because we opted for other play options not long after we finished eating. That was especially-true for the kids and teens. The games, biking, and swimming kept us happy through to now; so that’s pretty much all we have for our own news of the day-so-far. The late buffet booking is all about being able to share the fun with some of our favorite store owners – though all of the parents are happy for the work break too. Our plans for the rest of the day aren’t complicated. After dinner at the Inn, we’ll be going home with Cassie and Michael again, and while we’re doing another sleepover with them too; Ehlana and I will only have Naomi, Aiden, Valerie, and Marcus with us while all of the other kids and teens in the family have other plans. We’ll let you know how the rest of our day goes for us, but we need to head for the Inn soon; so we’re out of here!
