Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - August 27, 2022

Ethan and Ehlana:

Our top news of the day is that we spent a lot of the day at Quarry Lake with our families and friends!  We also got to be part of the group that spent part of our morning biking the trail out to the campground; and then the rest of our day campers caught up with us by lunchtime – including the ball players and supporters that stayed for Sebastian and Caleb’s game that they – and the Marshals – won over the Rangers.  The picnic lunch by the beach included an awesome mix of everything from cold chicken and subs to ten different salads and snacks; so that was great; and then all of the water play time was a perfect way to spend a hot summer day.  The campground was very busy, so we decided to stay away from the busiest attractions – like the rock wall and zip line, but we had bonus fun with our youngest cousins and their friends; and that included extra time with some of our favorite parents.

Yes, that included our own; and we’re okay with everyone knowing that we love hanging out with them – even when that can get a bit weird for us.  We really don’t want to go there, but for the record, while Mom usually gets the attention and comedic moments because she’s beautiful and looks so young; Dad gets his fair share of attention from other women – especially when he’s in a swimsuit and they might not know about his lawyer secret identity! ;^)

Moving along, we really had a blast today; and then only about half of the morning bikers rode back to town with us while the rest opted to get rides and put their bikes in the backs of trucks for the trip back to town.  We loved the biking fun; needed to go for a long cool-down swim after that; and then the Carringtons and Seagers co-hosted a barbeque, pot-luck dinner that was the last blast of group entertainment tonight.  We’re doing our own thing tonight with Mom and Dad – and that has included bath or Jacuzzi time, a music practice for two of us, and what will now be an early bedtime for us.  Let’s not comment on what Mom and Dad might be doing with their no-sleep early bedtime plans!

On that note, while wishing we hadn’t gone there; we’re out of here and off to nap time soon.

Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
