Ethan and Ehlana:
Happy 18th Birthday, Geraldine Sheldon!
We don’t have a lot of time for this update because we’re getting ready for a mass camping night for teens and kids while some of our favorite adults will be going out to the pub after the evening co-ed ball game. A collegian report is overdue, though, and Geraldine’s special day has reminded us of that; so we will try to get that done tomorrow night.
As for today, we have been busy with morning ball games and a chores day that was all about getting ready for the holiday weekend. Brianna, Faith, and the Shelties won the first ‘family’ game of the day over the Terriers; Silkie continues to be a good luck mascot for them; and their team will be in the championship game in two weeks. Ditto that last part for Ehlana, Naomi, and the Belles thanks to a big win over the Lasses. While our favorite girls were winning, Aiden and I didn’t fare as well; the Wildcats bested us by a score of twelve-to-ten; and our Bobcats team will be the underdogs for our championship game. We were razzed about the loss, but weren’t personally responsible for any mistakes; so missing our last practice while on our ranch adventure wasn’t really a problem. Then again, the guys having the most fun with razzing us – Zack and Eli – just might have been deflecting blame just a bit; since they were having more fun with showing off than with their actual game playing.
As mentioned, chores were the main focus of our day-so-far. We helped out with getting a lot done, so while the fun level has been a bit low up to now; we’re happy with our accomplishments; and we’re already in pretty good shape for the holiday weekend – which should make life easier for the next two weeks. We did take a few swim breaks to cool off and had a gang with us for lunch; so there were some cameo fun moments mixed in with the work. Now we’re busy with setting up tents and gathering our camping gear. We need to get back to that so that we can also help out with the barbeque dinner work. Mom and Dad are hosting the meal and camping; we’re junior babysitters for the rest of the day too; and the rest of the news for today will have to wait for our next report. Stay tuned; since the fun level is definitely going to kick up a few notches soon; and we are planning on enjoying every minute of the adventure! ;^)
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
