Ethan and Ehlana:
The extra work over the past few days was worth the efforts; and we are having an awesome weekend!
Co-ed camping was definitely our personal highlight for last night; and we are not suggesting that because our parents really loved a kid-free night! The family-and-friends’ barbeque dinner, play time at the park and in our back yards, and the campfire were all amazing last night too; and our next-best moments were our musical contributions at the campfire. We really love playing and singing with Naomi and Aiden, and while we haven’t mentioned it lately; we still plan on booking some time for recording some songs at the new media studio at the Galleria. The only reason we haven’t done that this summer is that it is a very popular place for summer visitors; so we can wait until they slow down in September.
After an awesome night with our favorite cuddle buddies, our Saturday began with Tai Chi by the river at the Carringtons – without Mom and Dad; and then breakfast was a joint effort for all of the campers with support from six sets of parents. Sebastian, Caleb, and their Marshals team provided the early morning entertainment while besting the Wranglers by a score of eight-to-four; and they had a large group of family and friends supporting them. The rest of our day until now has been filled with bike rides to-and-from Quarry Lake and four hours of water-based sun and fun for us – and Naomi, Aiden, and the eight cyclists that went with us while another, much-larger gang opted to drive out to the campground for the play day. The weather was perfect for a day at the lakes, and while the campground was a bit too-busy; we had a blast while enjoying a picnic lunch and all of the fun in, on, and around the lakes.
We’re currently stopping in at home for a change of clothes and to pick up a few things for another camping night at Naomi’s house. The Seagers are hosting a smaller barbeque dinner with our family and the Drapers. There are dinners happening at the Carringtons and Bassetts too, and we’ll likely have some overlaps, but we’re also looking for a quieter night – including with our camping tonight. We’ll have to let you know how all of that goes for us because we need to get back to the fun now and live those adventures. That is all we have for now; so we’ll go and do that starting right now.
Until next time, this little blast from your near or distant past is written for you with love from Ethan and Ehlana Proctor – twin junior Magi Masters of the Light!
