Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden:
The warm and sunny weather returned today; so we really got started on the riding adventures that included taking care of our horses and a training session with Christy. The work side of our day wasn’t popular with more than half of our fellow campers, but we all should have known what we signed up for; and that included learning everything about being ‘ranch hands’ and taking care of our horses. We took care of mucking out the stalls after our campfire breakfast; the morning trail ride included the lessons with Christy and a picnic lunch at a nice spot by the river; and then we rode back to the campground and had some afternoon play time that included a long swim break. The campfire dinner was pretty good if not anything that could be called gourmet; and then we went on an evening ride to the south-east before putting our horses to bed for the night and then wrapping up our day with another campfire.
Heather and Jordan spent some time getting us to work with our fellow campers so that we got to know each other better while sharing chores and other activities. Some of us are having better success with that than others, but we can at least report tonight that Grayson, Keith, and Trent have figured out that flirting with Ehlana and Naomi wasn’t going to work out for them. Darci and Brooklyn seem more-receptive to that kind of fun; while the three oldest teens in our group, Nolan, Peyton, and Alicia are getting along well without any teen romance drama at all. Okay, Ehlana and Naomi insist that I mention that Darci and Brooklyn were interested in Aiden and me too, but at least one of us doesn’t think that is the same; since our girlfriends have made it very clear that we are not available!
Moving along, we’ve had an awesome day; the riding was definitely at the top of the list for our best moments; and the campfire cuddling was as-great as our music contributions and the campfire stories. Our post-campfire fun included more group time tonight, so we don’t have a lot of time for this journal report and our last bit of time with just the four of us; and we’re getting tired anyway. It’s hard to believe that we’re already down to just one full day left plus the half-day we’ll have on Friday, but we’ll still pack in a lot of fun; so let’s wrap this up with happy thoughts and we’ll also move on to a last bit of co-ed cuddling before Heather and Jordan come around for the lights-out orders that will enforce the overnight segregation for all of us. Stay tuned; since we definitely expect the awesome to continue!
