Ethan and Ehlana:
Our top family news of the day is the start of Cassie’s summer session at college – her second semester for her Master’s degree. Other than a good luck breakfast-time video chat, we weren’t involved in her day at all; and we’re leaving it up to Michael to take care of her while she’ll be working so hard over the next couple of months.
Compared to that, our first day of fourth-grade testing wasn’t interesting at all, but don’t take that the wrong way; since we are usually happy to have our quiet, fairly-normal life with our family and friends; and the costs to us are really small.
We don’t want to get into anything serious tonight; so let’s move along. Our school day wasn’t exciting, but we did well on those tests; and did our best to help our friends – even if that was just with being happy. We also helped out with some studying after school; multi-tasked that with attending Brianna’s ball practice; and then we had a small gang at home with us for a river swim before dinner. Mom and Dad grilled some hot dogs and burgers with cold salad sides for us – and the members of our little study group; we continued to study until a bit before eight with one more wrap-up swim; and then our friends headed for their homes and we moved on to some ‘real’ studying in the office that included a Magi lesson with Mom while Dad worked there too.
That’s pretty much it for tonight. We came up to our rooms at ten; had a short music practice; and now we’re doing our usual bedtime twin chat and computing. We have another busy day booked for tomorrow, so we’re going to wrap this up now; call it a night; and get some sleep.
