Ethan and Ehlana:
Mother Nature gave us a little surprise overnight with a thunderstorm that wasn’t in the forecast, but while our tent got a good soaking; we stayed dry inside; and only had a slight-early wake-up call that allowed for some bonus cuddle and chat time ahead of Tai Chi with Mom.
Before we get to the news from today, we should mention that the campfire last night was awesome! We ended up with extra kids and teens as Jessica and Patrick had help with watching over us while the parents were at Sheldon’s; and our cousins and some of their friends were with us for at least part of the campfire time too. It was a school night, so the campfire ended earlier than any of us would have liked; and we were in our tent before Mom got back home again. That didn’t mean we were sleeping early – we stayed up too-late; watched a movie; and enjoyed the co-ed cuddle time until we were ready to crash and nap.
Put the lack of sleep together with our annual play day at school; and that explains why we’re already getting tired even though we still have the rest of the afternoon and evening to go. The fun at school was great, and we did pretty well with winning some of the races and contests; so we’re happy about that too. Add in pizzeria pizza for lunch and several ice cream treats breaks; and our day-so-far has been amazing. Since getting home, we’ve packed up our tent and campground; and now we’re getting ready to go biking on the trails with our friends. This update is early because we have the last game night at the Inn before the summer break; and won’t be missing it because Mom needs to try and win the senior team title for Miranda so that they can have bragging rights until September. We’ll let you know how that goes with our next update, but need to get going soon; so that’s all for this report. The fun level will be going up from here as we start our summer break tomorrow, so stayed tuned for all of those adventures; and, until next time...
