Ethan's and Ehlana's Journals - June 19, 2021

Ethan, Ehlana, Naomi, and Aiden:

We’re doing a late update for a change, but co-ed cuddle time and a camping night sleepover are now in-progress; so we’re not very interested in writing a long journal update!

Starting with where we left off yesterday, our play time with our friends made for a happy afternoon of biking, canoeing, and swimming that was followed by a family-and-friends’ birthday barbeque dinner for Violet and an evening of fun, games, and a campfire.  Violet had an occasionally-fussy baby to deal with, so she didn’t have as much fun as all of the kids in that gang did, but she at least had lots of help; and our newest cousin is very popular.  With another baseball games day ahead, the campfire wrapped up by eleven o’clock; and we moved on to our first camping night of the summer.  We had fun with our first round of co-ed cuddle time in the tent too after our guests went home and Mom and Dad headed into the house for the night; stayed up too late; and didn’t get enough sleep.

Tai Chi by the river was still pretty good; we had extra exercise buddies because Brianna wanted to come out for the early play time too; and then we rushed through breakfast so that we could still get to the first ball games of the day.  For that first round of baseball battles, Brianna’s Royals won again – this time by ten-to-five over Taylor’s Tiaras; and Zack’s Pandas earned their first win over Palmer’s Polar Bears.  Ehlana and Naomi didn’t blame Aiden and me for their team’s first loss of the season, but did get teased about co-ed camping being a contributing factor after Palmer’s Pride – ‘The Prides’ – bested their Hair Harpies by a score of ten-to-eight.

Those matches kept us busy through to lunchtime; we had a quick, easy meal; and then got to work on the usual weekend chores.  Mom and Dad took it easy on us and only kept us going until three-thirty; they set us free to play after that; and thanks to another really hot day; we spent a lot of the late-afternoon in and on the river so that we could stay cool.  The Carringtons hosted another barbeque dinner ahead of the evening co-ed baseball game, but it was more of a pot-luck affair; and then we were on kid control while at the park.  Our team – the Grocery Ghosts – as still undefeated, and while we were busy playing or swimming for most of their game; we caught some of the baseball highlights too as they bested Sheldon’s Shriek; leaving them winless through their first two games of the season.

Since getting home from the game, we’ve had fun with a teen-led campfire while the parents went out to the pub for a couple of hours; just wrapped that up a little while ago; and we’ve already mentioned that we’ve moved on to the co-ed cuddle time part of our night.  We’re also going to watch a movie, but probably won’t stay awake through to the end of it because we’re already getting tired.

That’ll be news for our next report, but we’re ready to move on and do that now; so, until next time...

...this is Ethan Proctor and gang; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
