Happy 46th Birthday, Martin Landry!
We have a lot of news to cover today, but have a campfire and camping night to get to now; so we’ll make this quick.
Our play time with our friends after school yesterday was great; Mom and Dad hosted a fairly-small family-and-friends’ dinner-and-movie night that was a blast too – except for a few problems with Zack and Eli being in top form with their pranks and jokes; and then our co-ed sofa sleepover was a highlight of our day once the rest of our guests had gone home. The overnight rain didn’t get in the way of our baseball games today. Aiden and I helped our Bakery Bards win over the Witch Falls Gas Knights. The seven-to-five score proved that our teams were closely-matched; and our cheerleaders were happy to take credit for being the difference for helping us to earn the win.
Ehlana and Naomi were multi-tasking the cheerleading today because they also helped out with some kid-control – including for our incoming new neighbors. While the Connors will be moving in over the next week as work is being finished in their house, they started working on that today; so Ehlana and Naomi offered to take their kids to the park with them for the game this morning. William is four and Cassidy is one; so their parents were happy to let them go along; and we ended up helping out with the kids for part of the afternoon too. We’re getting bogged down with the details and don’t have time for that; so let’s speed this up.
After the game, we had an ice cream trip to the Emporium; came home for lunch; and then we had chores to do after that. William and Cassidy were with us for some of those chores – including getting to ‘play’ in the gardens, but their parents took them back by three-thirty; Mom and Dad set us free for some play time with our friends; and biking the trails and swimming in the river were options that our friends were happy to do with us. Dinner was for six at home; and then we went to the park to watch our favorite Witch Falls Wraiths’ players win their game against Sheldon’s Shriek – avoiding a two-loss start to their season. We just got home from that game; and now the rest of the news for tonight will need to wait for the next update. We’re going to have a gang here for the campfire, but only have Naomi and Aiden here for the camping night. This has been a really good day; so we’ll hope that the rest of our adventures will keep that trend going.
That is all we have for now, though, and we really do want to get back to the fun with our family and friends; so, until next time...
