Ehlana and Ethan:
The camping, cuddle time, and movie-watching with our best friends last night was collectively a great way to wrap up the first day of the fall festival. Tai Chi by the river this morning was awesome too; and then we had our toughest home school day of the year so far. That was entirely because of our proximity to the park; and it was challenging to do our work with the sounds of the midway and all of the fun going on just down the street and across the river from us! We managed to do that; wrapped up early; and had a bit of play time since then, but we’re writing this update early because we’re about to head over to the festival again.
Social distancing limits the number of visitors to the park all weekend, but the students from all of the other area schools have headed home now, and while some will come back again with their own families tonight – if they have tickets; we have a window for some play time there and we expect to play until after dinner before coming home again. Tonight is the teen dance; so we’ll come home in time to make room for all of the teens that want to be at the park by then; and we’ll wrap up our day with another camping night – and possibly a campfire.
We’ll let you know how all of that goes with our next update, and since the best fun of our day is just about to get started; that report is sure to be more-exciting too. Stay tuned; since we really are planning on a non-stop-fun weekend; and Mother Nature is helping us out with even-better weather than we could have ever hoped to have with her gift of summer-like temperatures and sunny skies every day!
