Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - June 4, 2020

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 4th Anniversary, Andrew and Isabelle!

It is still a bit weird to think of back-to-back anniversaries for Andrew and Isabelle compared to Grandpa Grant and Grandma Eleanor – especially when Andrew and Isabelle were dating first! ;^)

Then again, Grandma Eleanor is only twenty-nine; so it won’t be much longer before Isabelle is older anyway.

Moving along, we weren’t involved in that anniversary celebration, and writing the next batch of tests all morning was far from party time.  We have had another awesome weather day, though, and the forecast thunderstorms didn’t show up – and might miss us entirely tonight too; so we had an awesome play afternoon that included a picnic lunch; biking, canoeing, and a couple of cool swims in the river.  We’ve had a quiet evening since coming home, and aren’t doing a camping night just in case we do get a storm or two in the area.  We did a bit of studying that was for show around May; added in some ‘real’ studies while she was busy with Cassie doing some work in the office and having a video chat with her family back at home in China; and then we just finished a music practice.

Now it’s time to get some sleep so that we’ll be ready for our final exams and then our first, unofficial weekend of the summer.  Sure, we technically have a week of school to go, but that’s really just for the teachers to wrap up their school year with marking texts, exams, and then doing final report cards; so we’ll just have a play week – just as we’d normally do at school.  We’re overdue for covering current events news, but that still includes a lot of bad news; we don’t want to go there; and will leave it to the adult Magi to write about more-serious issues while we enjoy being kids and not having those worldly responsibilities.

There will be time-enough for that when we’re older.

This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
