Ehlana and Ethan:
Cassie was busy with her online lectures
and studying all day, so compared to that; our day was awesome! ;^)
Tai Chi was by the river with our usual
group – except for Dad; since he was in the city by then; we played, biked,
canoed, and swam all day; had a picnic food break at lunch; and an easy
barbeque dinner in the back yard – on the dock for the kids in the group. We haven’t mentioned this in a while, but it
feels weird not to have baseball practices for two or three nights a week; and
we would have also had the first two rounds of weekend games by now too. That is still cancelled for the summer, but we
will have some kind of baseball exhibition fun on the holiday weekend; and some
or all of us could end up being involved.
Instead of having any baseball tonight, we
had Mom and May with us for a canoe ride while Cassie worked all evening;
played some games; and now we’re getting ready for another camping night with
Naomi and Aiden. That’s pretty much all
of the news we have for today, but we will mention that we passed eight million
coronavirus cases today; and the weekly totals for new cases continues to rise –
if not as dramatically as it did a couple of months ago. Those numbers are bigger, though; so the
growth is still serious. If the rate of
spread doesn’t slow down quite a bit; we’ll likely be over a million new cases
a week worldwide by the end of the month or early July.
Exponential match can suck when it applies
to bad things!
We wouldn’t actually like to see everything
get back to normal, since we do, after all, want an Ascension of the Light that
would make everything much, much better, but we are worried about whether the
governments of the worst-affected places will either extend the strict social
controls – or reinstate them where they’ve been lifted and led to a surge of
new cases. We don’t pretend to know all
of the answers, but know that we’re already seeing unintended consequences for
decisions that leaders around the world have made over the past five or six
months.
We don’t want to get into a rant about any
of that, and do want to get back to having fun with our best friends; so we’ll
move on now and do that.
This is Ehlana and Ethan Proctor; live from
the hidden home of the Magi of the Light – and May the Magi Force be with you!
