Ehlana and Ethan:
Mom, Dad, Cassie, and Michael are all home
again; and got here in time for dinner at the Inn – our first family meal there
in months; and then we went to the evening church service together too. That was collectively a highlight of our day;
and we loved getting the wedding stories while having dinner. We also had a fun day with lots of biking,
canoe rides, swimming, and park and yard play time with our best friends and
cousins. They – our cousins – are back
in their own homes tonight, but we’re going to have another camping night with
Naomi and Aiden.
We’ll be getting to that part of our night
next, but after a few play days; we’re taking turns with tub or Jacuzzi time
first. Our plans for a double-update don’t
seem very interesting right now – possibly because we’re actually getting tired
after so many long days and later-than-normal nights. They guys would suggest that they’re tired
because of extra-late nights thanks to Zack and Eli, and they have a valid
point, but we’re all tired; so we won’t likely stay up for too much longer
tonight.
The return to co-ed camping as an option
will just be an added bonus! ;^)
Sleeping will be in our near future for two
reasons. We also need to get up early
for Dad’s trip to the city. He’ll be
going for three days this time; and his work in Crystal Springs is returning to
normal. Cassie will be back to too-busy
with her online lectures and studies, but our summer has officially started; so
we’ll be playing a lot; and possibly spending some time in the lab now and then
too. We should also mention that Jillian
is staying for the week with us so that she can spend more time with Julian
Sparks; and we expect that she’ll be back here a lot all summer – or at least
until she goes back to college in August.
Naomi and Aiden are nearly-done with their
turns in the bathroom, so we’ll wrap this up; and just skip the details from
yesterday. We played all day except for
a few chores in the morning; the evening games, campfire, and camping was
awesome – even with Zack and Eli at their best-worst; and this has been a great
start to our summer holidays.
The Fourth of July will be the next big
event on our schedule here, but the weather is still looking great for most of
this coming week; so we’ll have fun while the adults continue with their day
jobs or college adventure.
There will be time-enough for us to join
the ranks of the responsible – in about ten years! ;^)
