Ethan and Ehlana:
Congratulations, Shannon and Gil – You’re Married!
Cassie and Michael are among the guests at their friends’ wedding and reception, but Ehlana and I weren’t involved; and we are going to be busy for the rest of the day with our four best friends as we all hang out at Naomi’s for the rest of the day. We’ve mostly had a chores day since Tai Chi by the river this morning, so our adventures-so-far haven’t been that exciting, but we’ve had fun; got a lot done; and now we’re ready to enjoy the play time with our friends for the rest of the day.
We had fun yesterday too; so let’s get to the top news for this report starting with Eli’s birthday party. Ehlana and I didn’t exactly get to party with my future brother-in-law and his friends, but we did help with some of the work and eat dinner before moving on the school for the football game. We can report that Eli had a co-ed party, but not a co-ed sleepover. Eli does not have a girlfriend, and he and Zack are not leading their pack of buddies in that direction either, but it is obvious that they are noticing girls in new ways – even when they still manage to annoy most of those same girls with their games, pranks, and general goofiness. Ehlana and Naomi were glad for the excuse to skip most of the party – including the sleepover while staying with us last night after the game. Before we move on to the football news, we should mention that Eli’s party mostly stayed at his house, but some of the party guests made an appearance at the game while others stayed for video gaming, movies, and the rest of the fun. We know there was a Pizzeria pizza snack that led to the end of the co-ed parts of the party; and we’ve heard that at least a few of the girls are seriously considering skipping the next few co-ed parties – or at least those parties that are for guys in their class!
While Eli was busy with his birthday adventures, our football game against Winfield Farms was great and another win for our team. Ehlana wants me to start with the news that I had three touchdowns again tonight and played well on defense again too, but while we scored fifty-nine points last night; we also gave up twenty-seven to Winfield Farms and showed some defensive weaknesses that we need to work on. Our mistakes didn’t prove to be enough to risk losing the game, but could become an issue against the best teams. Aaron had two touchdowns and Aiden had one, so they had a good night too; and we all put up good numbers for offensive yards gained. Will Carter hasn’t needed to push his own rushing skills very much so far this season, but as part of mixing things up; he earned one rushing touchdown to go along with his passing proficiency. Let’s also mention that Will hasn’t given up a fumble or interception yet this season either – and I’ll hope that I didn’t just jinx him by pointing that out to you in this journal! ;^)
After the big win, we had a Pizzeria pizza celebration at the school; Ehlana and I didn’t stay to the end of that gathering; and brought our four best friends home with us for the co-ed sleepover part of our plans. We were all getting tired by then, so I can’t report a late night of non-stop partying – mostly because I fell asleep not long into the first movie. Ehlana’s joking about reporting that I missed out on all of the wild and crazy fun that happened after I crashed into nap mode, but that wouldn’t be true and I only missed out on some teen chat time and the rest of the movie that none of us lasted to the end of before falling asleep. I’ll try to do better for Naomi tonight, but won’t make any promises; since we’ve worked hard and I wasn’t back at full power this morning even with the ‘extra’ sleep.
The chores news is boring, so that’s pretty much all we have for today-so-far. Ehlana and I just finished hitting the showers and getting ready for our night out; and we need to head over to Naomi’s house soon. We don’t need to comment on Mom and Dad’s kid-free nigh plans, and the rest of our story can wait for our next report; so that’s all for this update.
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
