Ehlana's and Ethan's Journals - February 5, 2024

Ehlana and Ethan:

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jonathan Bassett!

Sophia and Aaron advised us that Jonathan has had a happy day and was ready for an early bedtime by the time they left his birthday party after helping out with the gang of toddlers and the dinner work they joined in on for Mitch and Lynn.  They were here for a band practice and group Magi lesson – along with Naomi and Aiden, and while our friends were busy elsewhere; Ethan and I worked at the lab or archives after school and came home in time for dinner with Mom and Dad.  We had fun with that work and the meal; took care of the clean-up; and then our band practice went really well and we’re basically ready for the dance on Friday night.  The Magi lesson was a blast – not literally; and even when we’re keeping the ‘what’ we’re doing small; it is always amazing to discover what we can do together – or more-specifically; what we could accomplish with the combined full power that the six of us can do if ever needed.

Our friends went home at nine-thirty; Ethan and I joined Mom and Dad in the office for some charity-related work; and kept busy until Mom ordered an end to the work for all of us at eleven o’clock.  Let’s not comment on what motivation may, was, or is being used to motivate Dad to go along with that plan, but we were getting tired by then anyway; and will be keeping our bedtime computing and twin chat wrap-up to our day shorter than usual.

For the family travel news, let’s start with Grandma and Grandpa.  They’re on the move again today and heading east along the gulf coast.  While it might scare some teens, we’re not actually worried about our grandparents wanting to be in Florida for most of March; since we’re fairly-sure that they aren’t doing that specifically to be there for college spring break weeks!  As for Cassie and Michael, it is Tuesday in Brisbane; they are getting a lot of work done; and they are definitely ready for the play time that will start on their Wednesday afternoon.  We’re glad that they are getting the four-day break to play and celebrate Cassie’s birthday; wish that we could be there too; and will try not to be jealous while busy with our ‘normal’ days and adventures here at home where it definitely isn’t in the nineties like it is for Cassie and Michael in Brisbane!

It is late for us, though, and we need to get some sleep now; so we’re out of here and moving on to nap time.

Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
