Ehlana and Ethan:
We’re going with an early bedtime – comparatively; so let’s get right to our news of the day.
Starting with Cassie and Michael, they’re into their Friday adventures, and it is an hour and a half later for them in Darwin compared to their west coast work and play. It is also a bit cooler there than in the Broome-Derby region, but that’s relative; since it will still be around one-hundred degrees for the ‘feels-like’ highs. They will have more charity-related work in the Darwin region, but they will have some play time too; and they will be busy day and night while at their northern-most stop of the trip.
Our adventures here at home weren’t as-exciting, but it warmed up to around sixty this afternoon, and while we had a dash of rain showers too; that didn’t get in the way of our biking and play time with our friends. I’m offering this story out of order, but the after-school fun with our friends today was similar to our play time yesterday. We biked the trails; played at the park and playground; and had some quality chat time with our friends. The differences began when we got home yesterday just ahead of our incoming younger cousins and some of their friends and we got started on our babysitting fun. That isn’t actually the correct three-letter word to use for what happened with the Pizzeria pizza dinner, but Mom and Dad escaped before Zack and Eli led the way to a messy meal with their favorite food games and pranks – and we dealt with the clean-up that followed. Nothing needs to be added to the dinnertime news, and after we took care of that after-dinner work; we – the six tweens and teens – kept the girls entertained with a band practice while the boys played video games in the lounge. There were more pranks and games over those couple of hours, but it was a work and school night; so the parents didn’t stay out partying until late while celebrating Patricia’s special day. After the kids went home, we kept our friends for a co-ed sofa sleepover; Mom did a group Magi lesson with us; and we watched a movie in the lounge while winding down to the nap time that we didn’t get around to until well-after midnight.
It was actually still fairly-warm this morning, so we took our Tai Chi outdoors and by the river; that was more-fun thanks to adding Sophia and Aaron to the mix and earning extra attention for that; and then we had a hot breakfast before heading off to school. Our academic adventures weren’t newsworthy, but we had a good day; we’ve already mentioned the after-school outdoor adventures with our friends; and we had an easy-dinner with Mom and Dad before heading to the Inn for game night. That was our entertainment highlight of the day; we didn’t win any championships for our family; and still got to cheer for Violet and Dillon’s senior team victory that is somewhat-rare; since they don’t get to many game nights and may have won tonight because they had grandparent support for the kids.
Going with an early bedtime instead of staying up and working late isn’t for any major reason – we’re all just tired and ready for the extra down time. Ethan and I still needed bath or Jacuzzi time after we got back from the Inn, but we kept that comparatively-short; and we’re doing the same for our bedtime twin chat and computing. That’s why I’m also not going to get into any politics or world events commentary tonight. There haven’t been any changes for the better anyway, so let’s stay happy and just not go there at all. Heading off to dreamland soon does sound good to me, though, and we can do that; so we will! ;^)
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
