Ehlana and Ethan:
Happy Shrove Tuesday!
Our top story of the day is obviously having Cassie and Michael home from Australia. Ethan and I missed out on the first round of welcome home fun that happened at Dad’s office and included enjoying the fast food that Cassie and Michael mostly picked up for Aunt Leanne. If you add in the pet play time, we missed that round of fun too while at school, but then we got our turn to visit with Cassie and Michael after school – along with Naomi, Aiden, Sophia, and Aaron. Since they also had a gang of cousins and friends stopping by for visits too, we didn’t get to have very much quality time with Cassie and Michael. We did have fun, and spent some of that time outdoors because the afternoon high was around fifty-seven, and while that was chilly for Cassie and Michael after a month of summer weather; they still went for a short bike ride with us and we hung out in their back yard and by the river too.
This update is getting out of order, so let’s back up to this morning. Tai Chi was chilly too but by the river anyway; we had Paczkis for our Shrove Tuesday breakfast; and then our school day was pretty good while we mostly looked ahead to seeing Cassie and Michael. We had Paczkis for lunch too – a popular choice for a lot of kids and teens today; and then our top meal fun for the day was when we went to the Inn for their special pancake dinner buffet. We had a gang of family and friends with us for that, and we went to the Inn this year because Cassie and Michael wanted to spend time with his family too. They also had ‘custody’ of their niece and nephews during the meal, but we were at the table directly behind them; and still managed to chat with them quite a bit while enjoying the food.
Michael’s family got to have them after dinner, so Ethan and I came home with Mom and Dad; we did some office work and a Magi lesson; and now we’re winding down toward nap time. Yes, we wish that we could have spent more time with Cassie and Michael, but they split their time between a visit to the Pizzeria, farm, and Jake and Stephanie’s house; and they’re also dealing with the big time change issues that can only be helped so much with their Magi talents.
That’s pretty much all we have for today, and since we have a very busy Valentine’s Day ahead of us; we’re going to wrap this up; call it a night; and make sure that we’re at full-power for all of the fun and work that we have on our schedule for the next twenty-four hours!
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
