Ehlana and Ethan:
We’re going with an early update because Cassie and Michael have invited their six favorite tweens to hang out with them for dinner and the night; so we are going to be too-busy for any computing later tonight.
Aiden and I had a fun, quiet start to our morning with Mom and Dad. Tai Chi and breakfast were great; we helped with the clean-up; and then we ended up going to the bakery to help out there for the rest of the morning – something that we might be doing more-often this year as we’re getting older and can do more there than is possible for younger kids. In this case, Aiden’s parents needed the help due to staff shortage due to illness. We had fun with everything we did there; and it was a nice change from the chores that Ethan and Naomi spent the morning doing at two homes while we were busy. We did our own things for lunch too; met up again after Aiden and I were set free from the bakery; and have been hanging out around the lounge with just a short bike ride that we cut short due to the chilly weather.
Speaking of weather, in addition to the already-forecast polar vortex that we’re all supposed to be afraid of because winter is scary; we’re now also supposed to be on high-alert for a first major winter snow. While we’re expected to get rain and snow on Monday and Tuesday; Friday is when we’re supposed to get the big snowfall with more than a foot of the white, fluffy stuff coming and possibly messing up our last school day of the week – depending on the timing. That could be fun for us even with all of the work, but let’s not book the snow day quite yet; since forecasts are notoriously subject to major revisions the closer we get to the projected weather events. We also wouldn’t want something like that to potentially mess with Cassie and Michael’s travel plans for a week from Monday; so let’s hope for the best and be ready for whatever happens.
That isn’t a problem for today, though, and we need to finish getting ready for another night away from home; so that’s all for today!
Try not to be shocked; since I’ll likely just make up for this shorter update with a much-longer one tomorrow night! ;^)
Until next time, live with love, fellow Magi of the Light!
